Happy Friday! We have some celebrating to do!

6th Grade Whippur of the Week: Ethan Parker!

Ethan is welcoming and inviting to all of his peers. He goes out of his way to help others and always strives to be his best!

6th Grade Whippur of the Week: Alexandra Zietara

Alexandra is friendly and always respectful to others. She is a joy to have here at HMS!

7th Grade Whippur of the Week: Sam Becker!

Sam is a trusted leader inside the classroom and on the Cross Country team. He goes the extra mile to demonstrate respect and excellence!

7th Grade Whippur of the Week: Cara Getzelman

Cara is kind and helpful towards her fellow students. She volunteers and lifts others up when they're in need!

7th Grade Whippur of the Week: Lia Martino!

Lia is a hard worker who is always striving to do her best. She is a kind friend and completes high quality work!

8th Grade Whippur of the Week: Amber Wojtanowski!

Amber is always well-prepared for class, respectful, and a role model for others! She always does her best!

8th Grade Whippur of the Week: Michael Sichinga-Kuetche!

Michael is motivated to do well in calss and helps his peers around him. He has grown tremendously and is a pleasure to have in class.

Congrats to our volleyball and cross country teams! What a great season!

Walkathon Celebration!

We are thankful for our PVC who put on another fantastic Walkathon event last week. This year students raised $12,612! Thank you for all of the generous donations of time and funds.

HMS Family Night! 10/23

Hampshire Middle School will be hosting an ELA Halloween theme family night on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We will start off the night in the cafeteria enjoying candy salads while listening to Ella Johnson Library's exciting upcoming events. Afterwards you and your family will choose two engaging stations to attend from spooky word games, suspenseful reader's theatre, Halloween Scattagories or helping my child succeed in reading. We would love for you all to join us for this spooktacular time! End of Quarter Grade Check

The end of the first quarter is next Thursday, October 11th! Please be sure to check on Schoology to review your student's current grade and any potential missing work. Need help getting into Schoology? Follow this link for instructions.

We're a quarter of the way through! Let's review behavior expectations.

Physical Contact

Over the past week we have experienced an increased number of incidents that include physical contact between students, especially between friends. Please reiterate to your student that any form of physical contact, including play-fighting or horseplay, is not acceptable at our building and consequences will be issued for students to choose to engage in physical contact.

Cell Phone Expectations

Please review our Cell Phone Expectations and support our team at HMS in ensuring that our classrooms are academic-focused and safe. Our 7th Grade team was kind enough to share the presentation with all families so that it's easy to review. If you ever need to contact your student for any reason or they need to contact you, the phones in the main office can be easily accessed and used.
