Pearson School continues to glow with Pearson Pride!

Our April newsletter showcases the wonderful curricular experiences occurring in every grade level.

Bristol wood artist, Bill Nozzolillo, created and gifted the KINDNESS CART to Pearson's Kindness Crew. On Friday morning after conferences, The Kindness Crew surprised the staff with a breakfast delivery of yogurt parfaits and iced coffee to thank them for going above and beyond at conferences. The cart that Mr. Nozzolillo gifted Pearson will truly be the gift that keeps on giving! We are grateful for such generosity!

6th Grade students rotated through 4 stations:

• Animals in Changing Climate

• Seining- a hands-on experiment of the shallow waters of Long Island Sound

• Population Study

• Horseshoe Crab Blood Lab

5th graders participated in Climate Circles at Pearson. Students are tasked with identifying and committing to the kind behaviors on a daily basis at Pearson School! All grade levels will be participating in these important experiences focused on student voice and leadership!

4th graders participated in multiple stations provided by the Connecticut Science Center, focusing on renewable and non-renewable energy!

Third Graders are displaying their Geometry knowledge!

Pearson parent Seth Roy reads to a Fourth Grade class in honor of Read Across America Week! We are grateful for all of our Volunteer Readers from our community that participated!

Sixth Grader Brysen Smith has a dream!

That dream is to become a Police Officer one day. Officer Davranmakel was honored to visit Pearson School to instruct Brysen on the steps to becoming a police officer when he is older.

As one family noted to the Pearson School Staff during conferences:

"We are so grateful and thankful for your support!"

Mayor Todd Arcelaschi stopped by Pearson School to deliver his Official Proclamation, recognizing April as School Library Month! Let the reading begin!
