Dear WMS Families
This is certainly a week of thanks! So I would like to thank you for all of your support of...
- Of our teachers and staff by sending kind emails, notes, cookies, donuts, etc.
- Of our administrative team in so many ways
- Of our kids- through your volunteering, sending supplies for team days, socials, and other events.
- And of our PTO- as they support our kids and teachers through fundraisers like our PTO PapaNicholas and Write-a-Check fundraisers.
I am thankful for all of you! Happy Thanksgiving!

PapaNicholas Fundraiser & WMS Write-A-Check Campaign
We are well under way with our PapaNicholas Fundraiser! Please remember that all
PapaNicholas items ordered will be received before winter break and make outstanding gifts for family members, employees, and friends. See if your RedHawk can practice selling items to family they might see over the next week! A
OUR FINAL TURN-IN is MONDAY, November 28th
i-Ready Diagnostics COMING SOON
Students will be taking the second i-Ready Math and Reading Diagnostic Assessments of the school year the week we return from the break. They will take the Reading i-Ready Diagnostic on Wednesday, November 30th and the Math i-Ready Diagnostic on Friday, December 2nd. We will run a building-wide schedule where students will test from 8:40-11:00 am and then have a schedule that has them attending classes for the remainder of the day. The results of these assessments are mailed home to families.
For additional information parents can visit the D303 iReady Resource Page or review this letter from our Executive Director of Assessment and Accountability.
PARENTS-
Due to allergies and asthma, we are asking that students not use perfume or cologne at school. For those with allergies and asthma, perfumes and colognes can be a trigger and can cause an attack. If students shower regularly and use deodorant, they should not have a need for cologne or perfume. Thank you for helping us keep kids safe and healthy at Wredling!

PLEASE NOTE ON YOUR CALENDAR!
This week’s first snow is a great reminder to make sure the contact information you’ve provided the District is up-to-date. We want to ensure you’re getting timely alerts on inclement weather operations and other important notifications. Please take a moment to do the following:
View Notification Preferences/Enable Text Messages
District 303 will send notifications to families through the ParentLink system by text message, phone call and email based on your settings. Parents/guardians can view and edit their contact settings through the Home Access Center.
To receive timely emergency communications, we strongly encourage families to enable text notifications. For most people, this is the fastest way to receive and view important messages. Here’s how:
- From the HAC main menu, select the “registration” tab to view your contact settings
- Select the “edit” button to change your contact settings
- To enable text message notifications, enter your cell phone number in the SMS/text message field
- Select the “save” button
