This year, during the first week of school, we will distribute a Chromebook to every student in all three grade levels: Grade 6, 7, and 8. In order for your child to receive their assigned Chromebook, you need to complete an online form. You can access the form using the following link: https://forms.gle/j4Yrd9LGe9Z548119. Please complete the form prior to the first day of school.

We are gearing up for the 2024 Fall Sports Season at NRMS. We are excited to announce that we are offering Boys' Soccer; Girls' Soccer; Boys' and Girls' Cross Country; and Girls' Field Hockey for students in grades 6 through 8 this fall.

Hello NRMS Families,

It's the most wonderful time of the year: the first day of school is here! On Tuesday September 3 we welcome our students back to school. This week our educators returned to complete final preparations for the return of students. We truly have a dream team of educators in place to make this an outstanding year for our students.

On the first day of school, students should head to their Nauset Time, which is their homeroom/advisory classroom and be there no later than 8:30am on Tuesday. Students will spend a good portion of their day in Nauset Time to review schedules and information about the new school year. During the first few days of school students will learn their schedules, receive their assigned Chromebook, get their assigned locker and combination lock, and get acclimated to new routines and familiar with our expectations. It promises to be a fun and a productive first week of school that will end with our first fire evacuation drill followed by a special event at an all-school assembly to wrap up the week.

On Thursday of next week (September 5) we will host the Fall Athletics meeting. You can review the latest ParentSquare (Fall Sport PSQ) message for additional information about athletics.

The Nauset Regional Middle School Student & Family Handbook is available online. It is expected that all students and parents/guardians will review the handbook. When you sign off on the Chromebook form, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the handbook. Please note that the handbook will be reviewed and updated this year by our School Council. We have openings on our School Council. The School Council is comprised by parents, teachers, and community members and serves as an advisory council for the principal. If you are interested in joining the School Council, please email our PTO president. If we have more interest than we have available spots, the PTO will coordinate an election.

Last night the Nauset Regional School Committee approved the NRMS School Improvement Plan. This document outlines a vision for our school. I am excited about the goals and action items outlined in the plan. Over time, I will share updates on our progress.

Enjoy the Labor Day weekend. We can't wait for the first days of school.
