DECA ICDC NATIONAL RESULTS
Congratulations to our Mounds View DECA chapter for proudly representing our school at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC)! Six of our studentsāJayna Kavathekar, Thanishka Shetty, Maisie Adams, Sejal Patnayak, Diego Barrientos, and Maryam Shahkhanācompeted against some of the best DECA talent in the world.
A special shoutout to Maisie Adams, who placed in her event--Hospitality and Tourism professional selling--an incredible accomplishment on the international stage! We also want to recognize Maryam Shahkhan, who ran a strong campaign for Central Region Vice President at ICDC, demonstrating true leadership and ambition.
Way to go, Mustangs! We're proud of your hard work, professionalism, and dedication on the national level.

CLASS OF 2025 YARD SIGNS: If you pre-purchased a yard sign, but did not make it to any of the distribution times, your student can pick the sign up in the Main Office from Mrs. Diekoff. If you'd still like a sign, there are a few for sale at $25.00 cash.

MUSTANG GIRLS LACROSSE - SOPHIE'S SQUAD
Mounds View Girls Lacrosse is proud to team up with Sophieās Squad to support mental health awareness. Join us Monday (5/5) at home vs. Park ā JV at 5:30 PM, Varsity at 7:00 PM. Wear your purple and teal and help us show that mental health mattersāon and off the field.

These student athletes will be recognized for by Jim Galvin, Activities Director on Wednesday (5/7) at 3:30 PM in the lower commons. Congratulations to all!
JUNIOR & SENIOR PROM
Juniors and Seniors! We are less than a month away from your Gleam & Glow Prom! Tickets go on sale starting TODAY until May 7th. All tickets are to be purchased ONLINE either on your HomeTown app or by visiting the "Tickets" page on the High School Activities/Athletics page. Tickets are $50.00 each and MUST BE purchased by a Mounds View Junior or Senior. If you are bringing someone outside of Mounds View, pick up a guest form in the Main Office and return to Mrs. Diekoff.
This year Grand March is in the auditorium where you will walk through Rapunzel's lanterns and gaze under twinkling lights. Students will need to arrive between 5:00-5:30 PM to take photos and meet up with friends. Then promptly at 5:30 PM students will line up to walk with their date and friends across the stage.
Lastly, get ready for a late night of fun at Mall of America! Students can begin to arrive at 9:30 PM where we will have the entire theme park to ourselves! Students can go on unlimited rides and dance on a giant dance floor until midnight!

SENIORS - POETRY CONTEST
Seniors, become part of Mounds View's poetry legacy by submitting your original poems for the English department's annual Franklin E. Brainard Memorial Poetry Award. The winner's name will join the list of legendary student poets on the Excellence in Poetry plaque in the school library and win a celebratory gift card to Barnes & Noble.
Submit poems by Friday (5/16) by contacting Ms. Carney or Ms. Walter.
KIDS BOWL FREE - SUMMER PROGRAM
This program is open to all kids 2-17 years old. Register on the Kids Bowl Free website and register for The Mermaid (2200 Hwy 10 Mounds View 763-780-2900). Once registered you are eligible for two (2) free games every day of summer (May 1st-Aug 29th).
Games must be completed by 5:00 PM. Shoe rental not included.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
This month's Student Support blog will give you some insight on how to get connected and stay connected during Mental Health Awareness Month. Together we can reduce the stigma around mental health and substance use disorders.
