Mark your calendar: Graduation Field Seating OPENS APRIL 7th at 8 am. Senior families may purchase up to 6 on-field reserved seats. All proceeds fund scholarships for the Class of 2025. Seating closes when seats sell out or on May 2nd. Please know that seats go quickly!

Yearbook: Sales are now closed - if you are a senior, but did not pre-order a yearbook and still want one - reach out to Ms. Evenson (michelle.evenson@coronadousd.net) to be placed on a waitlist for a yearbook.

New! San Diego State University Admit Presentation at CHS - Monday April 14th at 9:30am at CHS in the MPR!

If you got accepted into SDSU and plan on attending in Fall 2025, or are still deciding on where to attend, there is a SDSU Admit Presentation Monday April 14th from 9:30am-10:30am. Our SDSU Admissions Representative will be here to inform you of next steps, what to look forward to and answer any questions that you may have. This will be before school starts for seniors that day at 10:45am.

SCHOLARSHIPS! New CHS Only Scholarships Posted This Week - 6 Available for only CHS students, including Friends of the Library, Soroptomist!

• Local Scholarships are now available in Xello in addition to the national scholarships! The counselors will be adding scholarships weekly going forward as they become available. The majority of the ones we add are either local to Coronado or San Diego, therefore you have an increased chance of receiving those.
• To Access Scholarships in Xello: - Go to College Planning (under Quicklinks on your dashboard) -> Scholarships (Parents can view them)

College Acceptance Reminder: As you hear back from colleges, don’t forget to update your outcomes in Xello!

National Honor Society Senior members: Order your graduation stole now until April 11 at 12 pm. This form is accessible with a CUSD student email only.

Community College Week: CHS will be having 3 local community colleges - Southwestern College,City College and Mesa College - come the week of April 7th to inform students about the college, how to attend for FREE, enrollment steps and complete the application, plus answer any questions students may have. This is geared for seniors but open to all grade levels who are interested in learning more about community colleges.

Please complete the Community College Week 2025 form to have the student be invited to attend, or if the student is learning about a college not coming to CHS.

Buy your CHS Senior Class Sweatpants, especially made for the class of 2025 at the student store website! These sweatpants are available for pre-order only. Don’t miss out, the pre-sale ends this Friday, April 11th. Orders will be distributed to students the last week of April.

The remainder of the school year will be filled with opportunities to congratulate and say goodbye to the graduating class of 2025.

Please note that all graduation rehearsals and senior awards are mandatory. There will be NO exceptions. If your student does not participate in the graduation rehearsal, he/she will not be permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony.

I encourage your child to attend all of these events. A reminder that students must maintain consistent and prompt attendance and follow school rules and expectations for eligibility for optional activities. We have a tradition of providing safe and memorable senior activities.

Graduation ceremonies have always been a formal occasion and we ask that you stress with your child the importance of maintaining appropriate ceremonial behavior and adherence to proper guidelines for award ceremonies and graduation. This is an amazing group of graduates, and everyone in attendance, deserves our collective courtesy and respect.

.Appropriate Dress: Please wear appropriate attire for award ceremonies and commencement ceremony.

• Gowns are mandatory for Senior Awards.
• Caps and gowns are mandatory for senior picture and the commencement ceremony

** Flip-flops are NOT allowed. We recommend shoes that are easy to walk in.

** (Due to our Field Turf: SPIKED HEELS are NOT permitted on the field).

Graduates and Guests: In order to support and host a formal yet festive graduation celebration, we respectfully request that you refrain from bringing the following prohibited items to the event:

• NO GUM

• NO BALLOONS

• NO BEACH BALLS

• NO WATER GUNS

• NO AIR HORNS

• NO COWBELLS

• NO FOOD OR DRINKS (WATER BOTTLES ARE PERMITTED)

• Balloons in the stands are acceptable but NOT allowed on the field.
