Coach Brittany finished up Youth Cheer Clinic in July. The kids are doing a wonderful job and loving the chance to show their Lion spirit!

Mrs. Griffin, Evelyn, and Lillian have been adding a few details to the stairwell to the Lions' Den this summer. They are doing an amazing job with the talents that God has given them!

The CCS upper school volleyball teams have been working hard this summer to prepare for the upcoming season. As a part of their summer training program, players participated in a few playdates that allowed them to match up against other area teams. This year our upper school teams will compete in Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity level matches. As AHSAA full participation eligible this year, the Varsity will compete with St. Bernard, Meek, and Addison for the Area title and chance to advance to the state playoffs.

Coach Cydney took some time in July to work with some of our young volleyball players. During the camp, players worked through drills to increase their skills and have fun too.

The future is bright for CCS Volleyball!

The summer is a perfect time for teachers to learn about new resources, tools, and ideas. Many of the CCS faculty and staff participate in professional learning opportunities throughout the summer break. We always want to be learning and growing as professionals!

We love Santa! (aka: Mr. Delbert)

On July 27th he stopped by during his summer vacation to read a story to the boys and girls about the first Christmas, the night that Jesus was born. While he was there, he enjoyed some pancakes... with syrup, of course!

The 2024-2025 CCS Preschool and Kindergarten classes are going to be fantastic! In July teachers and most of the students took a couple of days to get in some practice at what a day looks like at CCS. During the event students learned routines, met new friends, and got to know their teachers.

The Cullman Commission on Aging hosted a Cornhole Baseball Tournament on July 27th. It was a blast! We loved being able to host the space for this fun event.

Construction continues in the gym as our hard-working dads have built ramps, pour concrete, raised doorways, drilled for volleyball standards, and all the little planning and steps that it has taken to get us this far. It has certainly been a BIG JOB! We still have sanding, painting, and refinishing to go, but it's going to look great.

The CCS Class Ambassadors have been working hard already this summer! In just a short time they have proven themselves to be incredibly helpful as they've been eager to serve. So far they have served to help with Pancakes with Santa, Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness Days, Welcome Back for Teachers, and Open House events.

You will see them throughout the year this year helping in lots of areas! They are doing a fantastic job!

Wow! What a great night of celebration to kick off the new school year! Open House events at the lower school and the upper school were packed last Thursday evening. As we looked around at standing room only crowds at both locations, it was hard to hold back the tears of gratefulness to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It’s going to be an AMAZING YEAR at CCS!

The shuttle from the upper school (Depot Campus) to the lower school (Beech Campus) each afternoon will be limited to in-season athletes. First up will be Cross Country and Volleyball Teams. All other upper school students will remain at the Depot campus for afternoon pick up.

*Student Driver & Passenger Reminder: Student drivers and passengers must have signed parent permission to ride in a car between campuses.
