Communications
We currently are using the School Messenger platform to send out our communication to our PLE Community. Please note effective July 1st, the district is moving away from the School Messenger platform and moving to Final Site platform.
This should not impact families at all, but it may look a bit different and will come from a different server, phone number etc. If you notice any changes, or are not receiving communication please review the directions below to ensure you are signed up to receive communication in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Emergency messaging – did you get yours?
We want to ensure DCSD parents receive the emergency alerts most important to them.
What if I didn’t receive the alerts I want?
Log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (campus.dcsdk12.org) and click on “More” in the left-hand column. Navigate to “Family Information” and review your contact information. If you see an incorrect phone number or email, please update it in Infinite Campus, or contact the registrar at your child’s school to request an update.
Read more about using Infinite Campus Parent Portal here.
I received everything except a text message. How can I fix this?
You must select to receive text messages from our system. Confirm that you have selected to receive text messaging (SMS) for emergency and/or school notifications through Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
EPR's - Elementary Progress Reports

Families can access their student's EPR via the Engaged Parent Portal. Parents/guardians will use the same username and password they use for access to the IC Parent Portal.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application
JULY 15th - The application window opens for Free and Reduced Lunches
Again this year Douglas County School District is excited to announce its participation in the Healthy School Meals for All program for Breakfast and Lunch. All students enrolled at Douglas County School District may participate in the Breakfast (where available) and Lunch at no cost!
Studies have shown that students who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing Breakfast and Lunch to all no students at no cost, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students.
While meals will be provided at no cost to all students in participating schools, it's important for Douglas County School District to continue gathering this information in order to receive full access to state and federal funding.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Households who qualify may receive discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, field trips, utilities support, and more.
- Additional funds will go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals, support after-school activities, and other nutritional programs for students.
