Some thoughts for the starting school year
Principal's Message
Supporting Healthy Technology Use for Middle School Students
As we begin the second semester, our school is committed to creating positive social interactions and encouraging balanced technology use. Starting in January, students will not use phones during lunch, allowing them to focus on face-to-face conversations with peers at the lunch table and engage actively during recess.
Students may keep their phones in their lockers and can use them between classes, as well as before and after school. For any urgent communication during the day, the office phone is always available. Students also have access to the student phone in the office after sports and activities in the evenings.
At home, we encourage families to support healthy screen habits by setting limits on nighttime device use, establishing consistent bedtime routines, and monitoring social media activity. These practices can help students develop better sleep habits and maintain a healthy balance between online and offline activities. To support healthy screen habits at home, we will NOT allow students to bring their Chromebooks home anymore, unless we have pre-approved permission from the office.
Let’s work together to start the new year with meaningful student connections and thoughtful technology use!
Sincerely,
Brittany Miller

Please Help Us!
If you have any change to your child’s demographic information such as a change of address, phone number, or email address, please let the office know. We strive to get our communications to parents as efficiently as possible but cannot do so if we do not have your correct information. Thank you for helping us with this.
