Exposition
As Harry, Ron and Hermione walked back to their tent, there was a lot of commotion, tents were on fire, and the Dark Mark, the signature of Voldermort, was in the sky.
Rising action
Harry is in for a treat this year. At Hogwarts, Harry and some other contestants are entering in the tri-wizard tournament. This tournament will consist of three different challenges, and trust me they won't be easy. The first challenge will involve dragons, the second challenge consists of mermaids and saving students from their grasps, and the final challenge will test the skills of the contestants. When someone gets to the end of the maze, the trophy will be waiting for them.
The mystery in this book is, who is guilty of putting Harry's name into the goblet? Harry knows he didn't, but Ron doesn't. When Harry tells Ron he didn't put his name in the goblet, Ron just would say, "you could tell me, I won't tell anyone, "continued Ron every time. Hermione, Hagrid, Dumbledore, and Serius [Harry's uncle], are the only ones the who believe him.
Climax
The second event comes around and Harry meets up with all the spectators at at a lake. Harry has to find Hermione who is at the bottom of this lake using special seaweed giving him gills. He also saves Fleur Delacour's sister even though it wasn't his to save.
Falling Action
All the contestants enter the maze. It is pitch black, so Harry uses his wand to cast a spell to create light. The first thing Harry sees is Fleur Delacour getting dragged under by the maze by vines. Harry tries to save her, but it was to late she was gone. The second contestant Harry sees is Viktor Krum, but he doesn't seem himself. He's possessed, and tries to kill Harry, but Cedric steps in, right on time, and stops Victor with a spell.
Resolution
When Harry got back to Hogwarts, it took everyone a few minutes to figure out what happened, but when everyone did figure it out, everyone was devastated to lose such a good friend. Mad-eye Moody took Harry up to his office so he could look after him, but it turned out an evil man [Barty Crouch Jr. The one who conjured the dark mark] was planning to kill Harry for Voldermort. Barty would have succeeded, only if Dumbledore hadn't stoped him.
