Lenski Weekly Update
May 17th, 2024
From the Principal's Desk
Field Day was an absolute blast today! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make today so special for our Superstars. A special thank you to Ms. T. and Mackenzie Buford for all their work making things run smoothly!
Our Kindies were the cutest as they performed for their families yesterday. They are ready for 1st grade!
We are looking for an auction lead for next year. If you are interested, please reach out to me. The auction this past year is helping us fund a brand new gym floor for our students. We can’t wait to show you when we come back to school in August. Thank you to everyone who has donated this year to help our special school. Your money has gone to help with staffing needs and school updates like our gym floor. Thank you for all of your ongoing love and support.
As we approach the final week of school, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the unwavering support and active participation of our Lenski community. It is your collective efforts that make Lenski such a special place!
We look forward to spirit week next week and celebrating our 5th graders in their final moments in elementary school!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica

EduKits include the supplies approved by the school and orders placed before June 21st will be shipped for free directly to the school and delivered to each student’s classroom prior to the first day of school. Extended ordering will be available through EduKit's Last Chance program from June 22 - July 13 for an additional fee+shipping and will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins. EduKits can be ordered here.
Medications at School
Lenski takes the safety of our students very seriously and we ask parents to continue to support us with regard to medications at school. Please take a moment to review a few reminders below:
If your child will require ANY medication at school (over-the-counter or prescribed), please provide a Medication Authorization or other specific documentation that can be found on the LPS website. All forms require both physician and parent signature (electronic signatures are accepted). If you are not sure which document will be needed, please ask as we are here to help.
All medications must be checked in to the Health Office by the parent in their original containers with the student's name written on the outside packaging. Meds must be kept in the Health Office for safety reasons this includes cough drops.
Over the counter products: Pain relievers, ointments, sunscreen, cough drops, etc. require a Medication Authorization for the school year.
Prescription medications: Asthma and Severe Allergy medications require the Colorado State Asthma or Allergy care plan for school. These forms may be found on the LPS website. Simply select Explore at the top, click the down arrow and in the lower right of the page under Services, choose Health.
Thank you for your help in keeping our Superstars safe! The Health Assistant will be available on Monday, August 12, 2024 to accept medications and answer questions. Should you have questions before August 12, please reach out to Kim Gates, District Nurse.
