We are extremely proud of our incredible art teacher, Mrs. Hilbert for achieving the honor of Art Education Leadership Award from Artsonia! Mrs. Hilbert has served West Wing School since our doors opened as our art teacher. She has inspired 18 years of students to become great artists! We love you Mrs. Hilbert and are so grateful for your service. Mrs. Hilbert will be retiring this year after 30 years in education. Please help us thank Mrs. Hilbert during this coming week of Teacher Appreciation Week!

We would like to invite our parents to an upcoming assembly brought to us by our West Wing PTSA. Please join us for a special event promoting kindness and fun on Tuesday, May 14 at the Lollipop. Parents please bring your own chair if you would like to sit. All parents should park at Copper Hills Church or the West Wing Park and enter campus at the Trail Gate. All students should bring a towel to sit on.

Our West Wing Choir and Band went Disneyland last week to participate in the Disney Imagination Campus Workshop and Recording Studio.

We would like to thank Mr. Hix and Mr. Denton for planning and incredible experience for our students. We would also like to thank the many parents that atteneded this out of state field trip!

• Please Update Emergency Contacts With The Office, If They Are Not Listed In Your Contacts They Cannot Have Contact With Your Student.
• We cannot sign out kids 15 minutes before dismissal (3:15 is the cutoff).
  
• Reminder we cannot do deliveries to classrooms or call classrooms except for glasses or chromebooks. Phone messages only delivered to students at 2:30. If there is a pick up change, please call our office before 2:30.
• For those who are interested in volunteering in classrooms and/or attending field trips, you will need to attend a one time district volunteer training (class locations and times can be found at www.dvusd.org). If you have already taken the training you must come in to the front office to update your information, this must be done every year.

Please be sure to bring your ID into the office when you check-in. All volunteers and visitors are scanned in and a sticker is printed for you to wear while on campus. Please stop in the office to scan your badge when you depart campus. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Great job to our Girls and Boys Basketball teams for winning 2nd place at their Championship this weekend!

For the next month, our campus will focus on respecting each other's physical, emotional, and social boundaries. We are talking each day about respecting personal space, aplogizing when we make a mistake, and accepting apologies so that we can all learn from the situations we encounter in life.
