I hope you are off to a restful Thanksgiving break. One of the things I am most grateful for is the opportunity to serve this incredible community. We are fortunate to have students and families eager to do their very best in all that they do. The sense of pride that was on display at our recent Veterans Day Assembly is a testament to that. Thank you for all you continue to do to help make our school one of the very best in the area!
I wanted to provide specific details as to what our E-Learning Plan would look like for our students. As described in Dr. Caposey's weekly message our staff would be available from 9 AM-2 PM during a day of remote learning. You would use already established lines of communication such as ClassDojo or email to communicate with staff on needs. For students in grades PreK-4th, our teachers will be preparing activities that are aligned to learning standards, but will consist of tasks that students are able to do independently. This would consist primarily of paper/pencil tasks, independent reading, or choice board activities. For 5th and 6th students, they will use their chromebooks to access assignments on Google Classroom or Schoology.
Our staff will not be providing live online teaching, but will be available for assistance upon request. Case managers of students with IEPS will reach out with specific information on how they will be providing support during E-Learning days.
