Message from the Principal
This week we will start our canned food drive! It is an exciting time of year where we collect food to help those in our community. Likewise, it is also the time of year when many in our community need help. If you are able to donate, there is information below. If you are in need, there is information below as well.
It has been a busy month and we are excited about all that is forthcoming!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Tim Holcombe
Thank you, Vet's!
On Monday, November 12th, we hosted our annual Veterans' Breakfast and Veterans' Day Assembly! It was a great morning which featured good food and good conversation with 51 veterans!
Our assembly opened by our Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, the Eisenhower Choir led by Mrs. Megan Porter sang an excellent rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, the Honor Guard from Christ Dunberger Post posted the colors, Airman First Class Taytem Rew gave an excellent keynote address tied to service and our daily pledge, and our Choir then gave a fantastic performance of the Armed Forces Medley.
We are very thankful to our Veterans for their service! We were very pleased to take the opportunity to share with our students the importance of having a heart of service in our daily lives and what that provides for all of us.
Thank you to Mrs. Meterko and Mrs. Wilkins for leading the way with planning the breakfast and assembly, to Mrs. Madson for the awesome decorations, to Mrs. Porter for leading the Choir, and to all the teachers who helped set up and prepare food. It was a group effort and one that provided great opportunities for those in our Eisenhower community. Thank you, all!
Attendance Matters!
Being present at school each day helps children feel connected to their school community and builds a positive self-image. We are incredibly proud of our students who attend school regularly, embracing the message that "Showing Up Matters." By building strong attendance habits, our students are setting themselves up for success, staying engaged, and working toward important educational milestones.
Congratulations to the following students who proved Attendance Matters through staying in the Green on their charts: Omar Asad, Michah Bothuel, Miranda Canterbury, Jameson Ireland, Dane Granger, Rilynn Kersey, Blake McCarty, Sara Orth, Joseph Osterman, Quarma Pratt, Everlee Rentz, Zahara Tawill
Old Newsboys Lending a Helping Hand!

Other News
- We are fortunate to benefit each year from the generosity of the Old Newsboys. Each year they donate vouchers for both coats and shoes. If your student, or families you know of, is in need, please contact Tim Holcombe at tholcombe@oregoncs.org.
- We are considering ways to get more time for students to work on fluency with adults. One thought we are working on is the possibility of having adults come one or two days per week from 8--9. We would like to have that covered 5 days per week. If you or someone you know (grandparents, etc.) would be interested, please email Mrs. Nadolny at tnadolny@oregoncs.org and we share more details. Thank you!
