Transportation Change Requests
Parents,
Teachers are engaged with their students and have limited access to emails and Parent Square throughout the day. If you have an emergency transportation change request, you must email 978.transportation@gcpsk12.org to process the change. Please use this email only for "day of" emergency changes, where you did not send a note in with your student. Change requests must be received no later than 1:30 pm to guarantee the change request will be processed.
Car Rider Line
Parents, we need your help to create a safe and efficient car rider dismissal. We appreciated your patience during this first week of school, as we taught routines and procedures to all students. We do have some concerns with the car rider line backing up on the street and as parents exit the school. We currently dismiss car rider students 5 minutes earlier than the rest of the school to start the dismissal process as soon as possible.
Parents cannot wait and block the city street or roundabout. Parents visiting Alcova must use the turn lane to wait. If the turn lane is full, they must keep going.
Parents must turn right when exiting the school during arrival and dismissal hours.
We have been notified by the Gwinnett County Police Department that they will start to issue tickets for individuals violating the laws of the city street. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
