HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULING UPDATE
Right Now
We have several resources available to help students learn about the opportunities available to them! We encourage students and families to browse the resources listed below to learn about all our classes. Students are encouraged to take the next few weeks to discuss class recommendations and options with their families to help make informed decisions. Current 8th grade teachers will be talking with students about their academic options and recommendations over the next couple weeks.
Coming Up Next
The high school counselors are preparing recorded videos with this information that will be specific to each grade level. We plan to email those to students and families during the first week of February. It will be important for all students to view this grade-level presentation.
Families will receive a mailing in early February with step-by-step instructions for online scheduling. This will be sent prior to the online scheduling window.

Reunification
In the event of an emergency where an evacuation of the school building is necessary, students will be transported to safety at Sycamore Community Schools’ reunification site:
Blue Ash Recreation Center 4433 Cooper Rd. Blue Ash, OH 45242
Detailed information can be found on the district website under Reunification Plans.
For more information on safety & security at Sycamore Schools, visit the district Safety & Security web page.
After School Pickup: Patience as We Re-Adjust
PLEASE be patient as we re-adjust.
We believe that, in addition to the increase in student numbers, the backups onto Cooper Road are compounded by the early arrival of parents into the pickup line. The number of cars sitting stationary for an extended period causes extreme backups until the students are released at 2:57 p.m.
PLEASE help us - if you are picking up your child, do NOT arrive on campus prior to 2:45 p.m. Please, also understand that 3 lanes of car traffic may be necessary to get cars off of Cooper Road and onto the property. Again, grace and patience are important!
There will be an extra administrative and police presence at pickup to facilitate dismissal. Until we are able to manage this issue together, please prepare for extra time. Thank you for your cooperation.
