NO SCHOOL : FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH & MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH
MESSAGE FROM MRS. ZEMAN
Hello Washington Families,
We are looking forward to all of the exciting events we have coming up! It is always a great time at the luau, and we value our time with families at conferences. Please make sure you have signed up and marked your calendars.
At Washington we talk a lot about positive interactions and making sure that everyone feels valued (it's one of our essential goals). Recently, some of our older students have been having some not-so-positive interactions on social media and text messaging outside of the school day. As a school, we don't get involved with things outside of the school day, but we have been noticing the feelings around these interactions impacting the learning environment at school. I would encourage families to be aware of (and involved with) what their students are doing with phones and other electronic devices.
Some questions for this week:
*What's one positive interaction you had today?
*What helps you feel valued?
Thank you for your ongoing partnership! We are looking forward to a great rest of February!
