Dear Bateman Families and Friends,

It's hard to believe next week marks the last week together in the 2023 year at Bateman! The holidays give us opportunity to pause and reflect upon our proud accomplishments throughout the year.

This time of year constantly reminds us of the value of inclusivity we share across our community. As we visit classrooms, we witness authentic conversations in celebration of our diversity, students learning from one another, and growing together.

We have lots of exciting celebrations this week that will lead us into Winter Break. Please be reminded that there is no school on Friday, December 22nd for students.

We hope you all have a joyous and special holiday season, no matter how you celebrate, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy family & friendships.

This year the music department will be hosting a poinsettia drive and raffle fundraiser. We need your help to collect a variety of poinsettias (Home Depot, Jewel, Costco....) These will be used as stage decorations for the winter performances, and will then be raffled to families to help financially support the music department!

If you are willing to donate a poinsettia, please bring it to Bateman North Entrance Friday December 15th or Monday December 18th. Raffle tickets will then be for purchase during the evening concert as well as the morning parent performance of the Winter Show!

Tuesday, December 19th at 5:30pm

All Bateman community members are invited to attend this year's Evening of Winter Music on Tuesday December 19th at 5:30 PM. This winter musical showcase will feature work from Bateman's Band, Choir, and Piano ensembles. Student shoutouts and Poinsettia Raffle tickets will be available during the evening performance. All are welcome to attend!

Wednesday, December 20th at 8:45am

This year the classroom winter showcase will be at 8:45am for families on December 20th. Audience will need to enter through the auditorium doors. This will be all students in PreK (full day) through 3rd Grade. Feel free to bring some extra cash as there will be a variety of fundraising opportunities through student shout outs, poinsettia raffles, and candy cane grams!

All students will view the Winter Wonderland Performance at later times during the school day. All siblings who are students must stay in their classrooms during the 8:45am show time and will not be permitted to be in the audience until their designated show time. Thank you for your assistance!

The FORGE Spring Session preview guide has been released! All Bateman Families will receive an email containing the link to apply for FORGE Spring Session on January 9th. Placement in programs is NOT first come, first serve! As always, placements will be prioritized through a needs based lens. Programs will begin on January 29th!

Kids are always welcome! Meeting agenda will be posted on the Friends of Bateman website and the Bateman school calendar on Wednesday before the meeting.

Can you help make this year’s auction a HUGE success! Do you have something you can donate to our event? Do you own a business and want to get your name out there? Do you know someone who owns a business who would be willing to donate an experience or item?

We are looking for sponsorships, restaurant gift certificates, sporting event tickets, hotel stays, spa packages and kids activities.

Did you know that Bateman has an ongoing fundraiser at Burning Bush Brewery? If you order the Bateman Holy Water, proceeds are given back to the school!
