School Governance Council
Dear Parents,
It is time for the election of new members to our School Governance Council. The School Governance Council has one parent position open for election starting in July 2024. It is a two-year term.
Our School Governance Council (SGC) plays a critical role in the success of our school. The SGC works with school leadership and the community to help determine the long-term direction of the school, design innovative solutions to increase academic achievement, and serve as school ambassadors to the local community. Specifically, the School Governance Council has the following powers:
• Create, approve, and monitor the implementation of the school strategic plan
• Manage the Request for Flexibility process
• Approve the annual budget recommendations and related allocations
• Participate in the hiring of the principal, in the case of a vacancy
• Provide annual feedback to the Area Superintendent on principal performance.
If you are interested in running for a position on the School Governance Council, please complete and submit a Parent Candidate Form. Forms will be available on Monday, February 5th.
We are very excited about the work of our SGC. We hope that you will consider running for a position! The Candidate Declaration period ends March 29th and voting will take place April 17th to April 24th. In the meantime, if you would like more information about the charter system or SGC elections visit our school’s website or the Charter System (SGC) / Charter System Overview (fultonschools.org).

Dear Parents or Guardians,
As we approach Valentine’s Day, it is important to ensure that all homemade candy, desserts, baked goods, or other edible items are not to be sold or distributed during school hours, and that appropriate store-bought items are delivered to the administration. Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students with allergies, etc. You can help us protect your student(s) by requesting that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all of our students safe at school!
* All students must be accompanied by an adult at middle school basketball games. The adult must be the person who will drive them home (no drop-offs). This will help with supervision, and it will allow for the on-time closing of school in the evenings. Thank you for your support.

Walk For Water - A Fundraiser Event with Autrey Mill Middle School
Webb Bridge Middle School and Autrey Mill are joining forces for ‘Walk for Water,’ a big fundraising event on Sunday, March 3rd, at Webb Bridge Middle School, from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. PM. It is a service-learning project in which both schools participate- this is our first year participating and the third year WBMS has held the event.
Our 7th grade students read A Long Walk to Water in social studies and learn about how many African people, mostly women and girls, are forced to walk daily to find water for their family’s survival. This event will raise money to build a well in Sudan and provide water access for thousands, allowing kids to go to school, changing the lives of thousands of people for generations!!
This event will include a fundraising walk where students can register a team to walk together to raise money. We will have jerry cans for participants to carry as they walk to help students connect and empathize with people who must walk for water daily. In addition, there will be a marketplace where school clubs and local businesses will sell goods and run fun activities. Please bring cash to spend at the market on food, raffles, crafts, and other activities. Please click this link if you would like to register a team/ PLC / family/ group of cool people by Feb 27 to walk in the event. It is $10 to register as an individual and $30 to register a team of 4. We will walk, rain or shine 😊 Walk to Water 5k Registration (osmsinc.com)
Please click this link Walk to Water 5K T-Shirt. (osmsinc.com) if you would like to buy an event T shirt. Last day to order is Feb 17th.
