March Driving
We are quickly approaching spring and with that comes the opportunity to be outside, the rush to get to work, practice or home. It also comes with the addition of new drivers in our parking lot. Please talk with your student drivers, new and seasoned, about being aware of their surroundings as they are driving through the CHS lots. We want all students to be safe but please make sure you stop, check every direction before proceeding. Please also stop at crosswalks to ensure everyone's safety.
Have a great March!

The ILEARN Biology assessment fulfills a federal accountability requirement and is Indiana’s summative accountability assessment. Students will be completing the ILEARN exam during their Biology class. Please understand that there is a precise testing window allowed, so attendance is critical on the testing dates. Clinic Info
Clinic Info
Parents/Guardians of incoming seniors for 2023/2024:
Now is a good time to schedule appointments for required immunizations.
The meningitis booster vaccine is required for grade 12.
Documentation of meningococcal booster is required the first day of school.
The meningitis vaccine is a booster of the meningitis shot they received for 6th grade known as Menactra, Menveo, or MCV4.
There is a Meningitis B that is optional, but not required by state of IN, known as Trumenba or Bexsero.
Where to go for Immunizations:
Immunizations are usually covered by insurance at your physician’s office. If you do not have insurance, or immunizations are not covered by insurance, please call 424-7468 or go to supershot.org They are currently charging only 15.00 dollars per immunization. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
***Most pharmacies carry the meningitis booster and they can check your insurance coverage before administration. Take this letter to show them which Meningitis immunization is required.
If you need a copy of your student’s shot record let me know and I can send you one. Take a shot record with you to Super Shot.
Thank you for your help in getting this done for the start of the 2023-24 school year.

4. Make sure you are aware of the application deadlines. Your application needs to be completed at least a week before the deadline.

Library News
Our library inventory and checkout system is managed electronically through a program called Destiny. Students and parents can log-in to Destiny at any time to view the library books that are currently checked-out and the past check-out history. Destiny access for each building can be accessed through the district website at https://destiny.nacs.k12.in.us/ .
In order to access Destiny, parents and students use their district username (the first five letters of their last names followed by the first three letters of their first names (i.e. Brian Johnson = johnsbri)) and the password that is used to log-in to their school computers.
Elementary students’ passwords consist of their student numbers followed by the first four letters of their teachers’ last names (first letter of teacher last name is capitalized (i.e 12345678John).
Secondary students’ passwords are unique to each student, and you can obtain this information from your child.
Last call for anyone who would like to travel to Spain and Portugal summer of 2024. We have extended the deadline to March 17 for anyone who may not have received the communication.
