Celebrate Sherwood Schools: SHS Month
As you may know, our district's theme for this year is "Celebrate Sherwood Schools!" This year-long theme is all about celebrating what is great about our schools, focusing on the achievements of our amazing students -- and on expressing our gratitude to you, our parents and families, for your role in those achievements!
As part of this year-long focus on celebration, each month we will highlight one of the six schools in our district. This month, please join us in celebrating Sherwood High School!
Sherwood High School had a number of homes before its current campus opened, including what are now the Hawks View Elementary and Sherwood Middle School campuses. As student capacity needs at the high school increased with the growth of the Sherwood community, a new 73 acre campus was built as part of the district’s 2016 Capital Improvement Bond and opened in the 2020-21 school year. It was the largest high school in the state of Oregon at its opening. The campus includes 50 general education classrooms, 11 science classrooms, and 11 Career-Technical Education (CTE) classrooms, as well as state-of-the-art facilities for athletics and performing arts. Additionally, the campus was designed with future expansion needs in mind, ensuring that student capacity needs can be met for many years to come.
During the 1950s, Sherwood High School adopted the “Bowmen” mascot, connecting it to the thematic elements of the Robin Hood story that has become a central part of the culture and folklore of the Sherwood community. Since that time, the Bowmen have had much to be proud of, including: consistently high student achievement and graduation rates, individual honors and team championships in sports, exemplary fine arts productions, and award-winning band program. With a variety of diploma options, Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses, seven career pathways programs, and several trade and apprenticeship offerings, Sherwood High School provides students with flexible options to prepare for their exact right path after graduation -- whatever that path may be!
We invite you to join us in celebrating Sherwood High School during the month of October. There are many ways to celebrate SHS this month, including:

Our new menus include the following features:
Hovering your mouse over a menu item will show you the nutrition label, including allergens, carb counts, etc. We are continuing to build out descriptions and photos for entrees.
The "Print" feature is located in the top-right portion of the screen.
When you click the printer icon, it takes you to a screen where you can make adjustments to the document before printing, like adjusting the zoom or font-size.
At the top-right of this screen, you can also select printing the monthly menu, or weekly menu on this screen.
At the top-right of this screen, you can toggle between printing breakfast or lunch.
Menus can now be translated to Spanish. To translate, select drop down menu as indicated in the image below.
