Mrs. McIntyre

My name is Sarah McIntyre and I've been teaching English to people whose first language isn't English for many years. This year, I'll be teaching Spanish 1 for the first term here at the high school. Still teaching language, just Spanish instead of English! Looking forward to teaching Spanish while having fun. ¡Gracias!

Mr. Young

Hello Corbett community! My name is Zach Young and I will be a new English teacher in Corbett High School for the upcoming year. Outside of school, you will most likely find me...outside! Whether that be spending time with friends, reading, adventuring, or playing catch with my dog. I grew up in the area and have had many family members and friends go through Corbett schools. I am excited to be a part of the Corbett community for the upcoming year and to continue to build on the great things that are already occurring in the district. Let's have a great year!

Cooking and food have been a keen interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I have always enjoyed sharing what I have learned and also working to learn new things. Proudly, I look forward to ours becoming a double Corbett educator household.

Welcome Baby Thole!

Ms. Thole had her baby on August 1. Iris Marjorie weighed in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Mama and baby are both doing well!

Cross Country

Twenty-eight students ran cross-country this week! According to Coach Rondema, "This first week of training has been a wonderful reminder of how much I enjoy Cross Country and spending time with our athletes. Even with the heat, it’s been wonderful getting the athletes all back together and hearing their conversations and joy in each other’s presence." On Friday, athletes played a picture scavenger hunt game.

Soccer (Girls)

The Women's Soccer team had a great start to the season with a full week of hard work, despite all of the heat. The team is ready to get going and there was some great work on the field and during conditioning. We also took a trip into the Gorge for an early morning hike. It was beautiful, there was some great team bonding, and there were no sprained ankles! Success!

Thirty-six students came out for volleyball this week, including sixteen 9th graders!
