Farewell Mrs Kolendo
News from St Cecilia's School
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye …..
Mrs Kolendo is sadly retiring at the end of this term. The impact that she has had on our school family over the last 30 years is difficult to put into words but we will try our best.
Our very own Music Maestro takes a pivotal role in so many of our school events. Mrs Kolendo has put her heart and soul into helping our children to develop a passion for music, singing and performances. She has given up much of her own time to organise enriching musical opportunities for all of our children. Her ability to get the very best from each child and her level of commitment is truly inspiring to us all. We have been so very lucky and privileged to witness her wonderful teaching, her wealth of knowledge and her musical expertise.
We asked the children for some of their musical highlights … to name but a few … Spring Chicken and the 12 Days of Christmas have truly become traditions in our school. The Year Six Plays, the Nativities and the very moving Stations of the Cross hold very special memories for them and will remain with them forever.
Mrs Kolendo is truly one of a kind, a very special person and an amazing teacher.
We know you will join us in wishing her a wonderful and well-deserved retirement filled with joy and laughter.
