What a wonderful week of literary adventures we had! This past week we celebrated Read Across America Week, and the halls were filled with the excitement and magic of books. It was truly a week to remember, where we emphasized the importance and joy of reading.

Here are some of the highlights:

• Character Dress-Up Days:
  • We saw a fantastic array of beloved book characters come to life! From classic favorites to modern heroes, our students and staff showcased their creativity and love for stories.
• Guest Readers:
  • We were fortunate to have special guest readers from our community join us, sharing their favorite stories and inspiring a love of reading in our students.

We want to thank all the students, teachers, staff, and parents who participated in making this week such a success. Your enthusiasm and support are invaluable! Let's keep the spirit of reading alive throughout the year! Encourage your children to explore new books, visit the library, and make reading a part of their daily routine. Happy Reading!

Parents will be receiving the following message from the Fort Mill School District on Monday, February 24th!

The South Carolina Department of Education partners with the Education Oversight Committee to deliver a parent survey. The responses to this survey help school and district leaders understand how parents feel about the school. Survey information is being sent to the parents or guardians of every student in South Carolina.

If you have multiple children, we are only asking you to complete one survey for each school your children attend. You are permitted to complete one survey for each of your children if you would like to, but only one survey for each school is needed. Thank you in advance for giving us your feedback.

The survey will remain open until April 11. Please see below for steps on how to access the survey.

1. Log in to PowerSchool Parent Portal

2. Click on “Forms” in the Navigation bar on the left side of the page

3. Click the link for the 2025 Parent School Climate Survey

4. Follow the instructions and submit the form

On the PowerSchool App:

1. Open the PowerSchool App

2. Tap on “More”

3. Tap on “Forms”

4. Tap on 2025 Parent School Climate Survey

5. Follow the instructions and submit the form

6. You may need to sign out and sign back in on the app to access the survey

Needs translated directions, click here. Click on the survey and then on the opening screen there’s a dropdown box that allows you to select from several different languages.

Yearbooks will be available for pre-sale only. Extra copies will not be available for sale after the March 30th deadline.

Hard Cover: $30, Soft Cover: $25

Yearbooks will be delivered in May, at the end of the school year.

Mark your Calendars now for the next PTO General Meeting on Tuesday, March 18th at 7:45 AM in the Cafeteria. Besides our usual raffle, parents who attend will have a chance to sign up early for tickets to the upcoming PTO Movie Night at the Arsley (April 4th @ 7pm, Dogman!) before it becomes available online. We can't wait to see you there!
