Rio Norte News - September 15, 2023
A Note From the Principal
Good Morning River Hawk Families,
Thank you to all of our families and your friends and relatives that helped us with our big fundraiser! I am so happy to report that due to the big push at the end because of YOU, our River Hawk families, we reached our goal!!! This is such a team effort and we are sincerely grateful for the support our community provides!
PTSA and I also want to thank the families that took the night off cooking dinner, or went during lunch, to support the Panda Express fundraiser - every penny helps PTSA to support us as well. Please be sure to read the PTSA news down below for important information, including the upcoming student membership competition and the Reflections Contest.
Finally, for those that allow your students to walk home through the Oakmont Senior Living Center or hang out around that area where our neighboring businesses are, the staff at Oakmont are having trouble with our students after school. Several staff report they are hanging out in their parking area and even around their gates near the fire lanes using inappropriate and disrespectful language toward and around their staff, residents, and visitors. Most recently, some of our female students have sadly been quite disrespectful to their staff, who simply have asked them to leave. As we have been unable to identify these students, their next step will be to start calling the Sheriff Department for trespassing. With your help, we hope it does not get to that point.
