Social Work Corner- Random Acts of Kindess
Calling all Kindness Agents! ️
Get ready to unleash your inner hero and paint our school with kindness! It's Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Revolution time!
RAK are like secret missions – spreading smiles with simple, unexpected gestures. Think holding a door open, offering a helping hand, or leaving a cheery note on a friend's desk.
Here's how you can join the mission:
- Plan your operation: Brainstorm family RAK ideas for home, school, or even the neighborhood! Remember, even the smallest act can make a giant difference.
- Go undercover: Challenge your child to complete one RAK each day. Track their good deeds on a special chart or create a "Kindness Jar" to fill with good vibes.
- Spread the love: Bake treats to share, leave positive sidewalk messages, or help a neighbor carry groceries. Let's make kindness contagious!
Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to change the world, one smile at a time. So, let's show our community that our school is overflowing with kindness!
Together, we can make our school a kinder place, one Random Act of Kindness at a time!
A Note from the Nurses' Department 👩⚕️👩⚕️👩⚕️
We are so close to Holiday break! Tis' the season to beat sickness!
- The health office continues to see many students with complaints of sore throat, coughs and runny noses! Most physician diagnostic communication has been "viral" illness.
- Hand washing is the single most important way to prevent the spread of viruses and communicable diseases. Use soap, warm water and disposable paper towels and wash your hands frequently.
Cover coughs and sneezes and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Germs spread easily this way!
- Improve air quality with air purifiers or open windows for fresh air! Well-ventilated rooms help reduce the numbers of airborne germs inside.
- “Once a week, take a peek” Please check your child’s hair weekly to prevent a lice outbreak in your home. The fall brought an increase in cases of lice.
- Do your best to eat well, get adequate sleep, and exercise habits to stay healthy this holiday season!
- Dental days will be February 20th and 21st . Please return forms or sign up using the link/QR code below before winter break!
