GIVING TREES
Our Giving Trees will be set-up by Monday, December 2 at the main staircase and in the office. Children may bring in gently used or new hats, gloves, mittens and scarves. These will be placed on the trees and then given to families in need of these items.
We will be collecting until Friday, December 13.

PTO PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Happy November Everyone! Montgomery’s Carnival will be here before you know it! Mark your calendars for Friday, January 31, 2020! It will be a fun filled night for everyone!
We are now accepting donations of NUT FREE candy for our carnival Games and Prizes committees. If you have extra Halloween Candy (especially hard candy such as lollipops) please send it to school with your kid(s) or bring them in to the school office where you will find a collection bin!
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the next General PTO Meeting on January 15, 2020 at 9:30am!

Remember - this link will not be available or live until MONDAY, Dec. 2. Only one spot per student. Class descriptions are below. Registration closes January 1st.
Step two: You must pay via the Montgomery PTO paypal (Paypal: mtptotreasurer@gmail.com) or by check made out to Montgomery PTO and placed in the PTO mailbox by Jan. 15)
Once we have received your payment, we will notify you via email with confirmation and instructions on filling out communication forms, snack requirements and on site contact information during class.

Magic
Company: Amazing Cindini
Grades: 1-4
Class description: Disappear” for one hour a week for 6-weeks. Learn secrets used by famous magicians. Amaze your family and friends with the magic learned in this fun, exciting & educational magic program. Classes include hands on instruction and personalized training.
Each student will receive a variety of magic tricks to start or add to their own magic collection.

Yoga
Company: Yoga with Carly
Grades: K-4
Class Description: Join us for an hour of yoga poses and games, journaling, and a little relaxation time. No prior experience needed. Yoga mats will be provided if needed. Please wear comfortable clothes and be ready to focus your mind and learn some tools to help you feel your best!

Grades: 1-4
Class Description: I.C.I. Studio presents the Art and Design Program for all skill levels. No experience is required! Students will broaden their creative minds and use their imagination to create their own designs through various forms of art. We will have a different theme or project each week to allow students to learn a variety of techniques. Participants will be provided with guided instruction, but will also be given plenty of creative freedom.

Each week, we will focus on activities that increase problem solving skills through hands-on learning. We will be investigating science and math through experiments and problem solving, building with engineering challenges, discovering the basics of coding, and creating some amazing art along the way.

Class Description: Ozobot Zone- The amazing Ozobot rolls, spins, zig-zags, dances and flashes a rainbow of colors, all at your command! This cross-curriculum course brings coding and robotics together. Write some code on your computer, and the Ozobot will act it out in front of you! Play fun coding games, challenge other robots to a race, and draw a colorful path for your Ozobot to follow. This pint-sized but powerful robot will be your partner in learning as we gain skills in logic, storytelling, sequencing, and problem-solving. Each student will receive an award on the last day of the session, and will have the opportunity to earn Code Belts to demonstrate their learned skills!

Happy Holiday season Montgomery Elementary families! The Make a Difference Committee will be collecting donations for the Operation Give Back Holiday store (which serves families in need in the Sycamore District) from 11/18-12/6. The bin is located under the stairs near the pig statue. If you’re interested in donating we will be collecting the following items (new items only please)-LEGO sets, art supplies, sports equipment, kid/teen pajamas, and Target gift cards. Gift cards can be turned into Teka or Sandra in the front office. All other items can be placed in the collection bin under the stairs. HELP WANTED
Part Time Job Opportunity
The Sycamore HS PTO is looking for an individual to serve as the store manager and merchandise buyer for the Aves Hangar Bookstore and Spirit Shop, located on the school’s campus, anticipated to begin in January 2020. This is a new position and will replace the role currently held by volunteer managers.
Retail experience and knowledge of sales and marketing principles are necessary. This is a contract position, with an average expected work-load of 20 hours/week. Schedule is somewhat flexible. Incentive opportunities are also available.
