DeSales Parent Connection

There will be no school from February 20th through 24th for Winter Break.

On Tuesday, February 14th students may dress out of uniform for $1 or more donation to benefit Children’s Heart Center at URMC.

This dress down day is at the request of DeSales 1st grader and CHD warrior, Landon.

Landon's Mom was pregnant with him when he was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole in the bottom two chambers of the heart). His heart is now considered repaired as he had his surgery at about 6 months old. However surgery is not a cure and he like his fellow heart warriors will have lifelong care.

Landon told us of his experience, "My heart wasn't working good when I was a baby. We are celebrating that it is working good now and wanted people to know about this (Congenital Heart Defect) so they can have healthy hearts too. God picked me to be a heart kid and I pray for the other heart kids." We are proud of this brave Knight, his commitment to give back and recognize all of the children with CHD.

We are pleased to offer Fowler’s Chocolates as our spring fundraiser. Candy orders can be placed January 11 through February 24, 2023. All orders will be placed online this year. Online ordering will allow more opportunities to share our sale with out of town family and friends as they can have their orders shipped directly to their home! Shipping charges apply. Ship to school is also an option at no additional charge.

Join us for the February HSA Meeting on Tuesday, March 7th at 7:00pm in the DeSales Cafeteria. All parents, grandparents and caregivers are invited and encouraged to attend.

Just for attending, your name will be put in a drawing to win a great prize! Your student will also earn a free dress down day.

Our Annual Bid for Quality Education Auction will be held virtually on April 14, 15 & 16. The event will take place in the DeSales Online Auction Facebook Group. You can join the group now so you don't miss anything. Invite your family and friends to join the group too.

Auction Drop Off Day - Wednesday, March 15th

We will have volunteers at the drop-off line in the morning to collect any auction donations. For making a donation, your child(ren) will earn a dress down pass to be used on a day of their choosing.

We are looking for themed baskets or lose new items that can be put together into a basket.
