"Field Day" Event
Each grade level will have time together to celebrate the end of the year and participate in fun activities during the afternoon of June 21. We are hoping for sunny weather and are sure our students will enjoy extra social time on our new field!
Touch of Class - Promotion Assembly
We will hold our promotion and 8th grade awards assembly on June 21. During this assembly we will honor each student for their promotion to high school, teachers will deliver department awards and we will be entertained by our Advanced Choir, Jazz Band and the talents of several individual students.
Important Details:
Students Dress: High School T-Shirt
Assembly Start Time: 7:45 and Approximate End Time: 9:30
Location: Commons
Parent viewing option: Live Stream (link to be sent to families June 20)
As you know, our space for large events is limited and we are not able to accommodate families as guests for this assembly. Thanks for understanding and we hope you are able to tune in live or watch the video coverage later in the day. Again, we will share the link with families via email on June 20.
PTO Sponsored High School T-Shirts
All of our 8th grade students will be given a high school t-shirt as a gift to celebrate their successful completion of middle school and their transition to high school. Most of our Wolves will be headed to BLHS so we will see a lot of teal and black and our future Sparts will have SHS shirts. Those students transitioning out of the district, will also receive a similar t-shirt.
Students will receive their shirts on June 20th in 1st period and will wear them to our promotion assembly and field day on June 21st.
Huge thanks to our PTO for sponsoring this project.
Water Safety Assembly
We will be having a Water Safety Assembly this Thursday, 6/15. We are working with first responders to connect with students on safety precautions they can take while on the water this summer. Given the proximity to Lake Tapps, this is something especially important for our community.
Yearbook Distribution
Yearbooks will be handed out to students on June 20.
Early yearbook pick up is not available, please contact the office if your student will not be in attendance on our distribution day to discuss options.
Chromebooks
6th and 7th grade students will keep their chromebooks. 8th grade students moving on to BLHS or SHS will keep their chromebooks until they begin their 9th grade year. If your student is leaving the district, they will need to turn their chromebook in on June 21.
