We had a fantastic SALT Day! Our students, staff, and families went all over the metro to Serve, Appreciate, Love, and Teach. There’s no greater joy than serving alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ, and our students came back filled with His love! As Father Jerome blessed our students this morning, he reminded us of these words from St. Teresa of Avila… “Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours.” Our community did its best to be Christ’s hands today. Thank you to all those who make this program and day of service possible! You are many!

Sunday, April 2nd is your last chance to order a 2022-23 CSSE yearbook! There will be very few extras ordered, and it will be on a first come, first served basis. Make sure your student has their book reserved since we will have an all-school yearbook signing before school ends for the summer! If you are not sure if you ordered, check your email. Google Forms generates a confirmation email after each order (which may go to spam).

Good luck to the following 8th grade students who will be participating in the OAAC's Tournament of Champions at Rose State College this Saturday - Jack Frame, Elliott Hattaway, Charlcie Lawson, and Wesley Lemons! They all placed in the top 5 at the TOC qualifiers in individual subject areas to move on to the final tournament! Wesley will be competing in the TOC Scholar competition due to qualifying for all subject areas.

It is the goal of St. Eugene Parish that no Catholic child, whose family is participating in the life of their Parish, will ever be denied a Catholic education because of financial need. We utilize the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to conduct financial need analysis. This program collects financial data from families to determine an appropriate level of financial assistance for each family that applies. For consideration for financial aid, registration through FACTS must occur by April 15th each year. Please see the financial assistance information in your FACTS enrollment online packet. Click on the links under the navigation section to the left for specific information on tuition and registration fees.

The St. Eugene Easter Egg Hunt is on! After the 9:30am Mass on April 9, kids up to age 12 are invited to line up at the soccer fields behind the church. Be sure to bring Easter baskets and cameras – the Easter Bunny is hoping to join us! To make this happen, we need Easter goodies! Please bring stuffed plastic eggs to the parish or school office by Monday, April 3. And we still need volunteers to help man the egg hunt on Easter Sunday. RSVP for the annual Wonderfully Made Conference on Saturday, April 1st! Mothers with daughters ages 9-12 are invited to attend together to learn about topics like Theology of the Body, nutrition, and Natural Family Planning. This is a free, bilingual event, but space is limited! Register for the conference today! Wonderfully Made will be at the Catholic Pastoral Center, 9 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Middle school students are invited to sign up for the annual feeder school workshop with DanceVisions Company. Participants will have a fun-filled day of dance technique and learn a routine to perform at DV's spring concert "Revive.Renew.Reclaim." Join current DV members and discover what it's like to be a part of DanceVisions and the dance department at McGuinness. Each participant will receive a DV t-shirt to commemorate their experience.

Performance dates: Thursday, April 27th and Saturday, April 29th

Please pray for Peggy Berringer and the Blevins family as they cope with Peggy’s illness. Peggy will be moving into hospice care this week as the severity of her illness has progressed quickly. Peggy has been sacristan at the school mass for years, and the family is a big part of our church and school community. May God grant peace, comfort, strength, and patience to the family.

Please pray for Mrs. Lupp’s mother/Jack & Joss’ grandmother as she recovers from surgery. | Please pray for Mrs. Hattaway’s mother/Elliott & Teddy’s grandmother as she heals from a caregiving injury. | Please pray for the intentions of the Holy Father, as well as those of your family and friends this Lent. | Please pray for the healing and comfort of Sasha, granddaughter of CSSE friend Belva Neal.

Please pray for the victims of the school shooting at Covenant School in Tennessee. May God's embrace heal and comfort them and their community in this time of tremendous difficulty. Pray that those who have the ability to bring an end to these tragedies take action with God's guidance.

Come Exercise Your Creative Muscles! Join us May 5 at 9:30am in the Atrium to help prepare materials for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. No need to be a celebrated artist. We'll be touching up paint on small figurines and making paper and other materials as needed. Contact Christie Ardoin at goodshepherd@steugenes.org with questions. Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process! You must have updated SE if you plan on driving on field trips, being a homeroom parent, or coaching a team, etc.
