PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Estabrook Families,
The recent back-to-back snow has reminded us what it means to live in New England during the month of February. While the accumulations can lead to additional stress and headaches for us as adults when it comes to clearing the driveway or finding childcare, for children, it creates an opportunity to create and play. Across our area snowmen and snow forts are popping up, and kids are experiencing the thrill of rolling down a mountain of snow. The Estabrook ball field became spotted with mega-snowballs during recess last week, as students worked together to roll the largest snowballs they could. When one grade went in and another came out, the next crew--seemingly instinctively--took up the task of continuing to roll the snowballs, making them bigger until they couldn't roll them any more.
Our students work hard every day. Watching them take advantage of their off time to play, collaborate and create is a wonderful thing!
As we prepare for February break, I wish you all a wonderful time away, whether it be far away or within the confines of your own neighborhood!
Best,
Jeff LaBroad
Principal

Happy Birthday, Estabrook!
February 24 marks the third anniversary of our first day in the new Estabrook School. Our facility continues to be a point of pride for the Town of Lexington, and a model school visited by educators across the state looking to renovate or rebuild their buildings. Our facility provides and optimal space for the exceptional teaching and learning that takes place here every day. We continue to be grateful to the people of the Town of Lexington for their support in constructing our current facility, as well as all those who keep it running and looking great!
