Families, we have a special registration goal we will be working to reach as an entire school, so be on the lookout daily for our updated registration percentage!
School-Wide Registration Challenge: If we reach 65% as a school, then the WHOLE SCHOOL Special Spirit Day! We have hit 28% so far!

Notes From The Nurses Office
Please note that all medications (daily or PRN) that are in the nurse’s office at school must be picked up by a parent/guardian no later than June 17 by 12pm, which is the last day of school. Students are not allowed to transport medications to and from school. Medications that are not picked up will be disposed of, as they are not able to be stored at school over the summer. If this applies to your family, please contact me to let me know when you, (or another responsible adult) will be picking your student(s) medications up by emailing me ashea@awrsd.org so I may have them ready for pick up.
A few friendly reminders….
Please send your student in with a water bottle! The weather is getting warmer, and our bodies require more fluid intake. If someone is not properly hydrated, it can affect the way they think and feel. There are water stations in the school where students can continue to refill their water bottles throughout the day.
Let us not forget to talk about sun safety! It is that time of year where you may want to apply sunscreen to your child prior to your student coming to school. Should you want them to reapply at school, please send them with their own supply of sunscreen. The nursing office does not have sunscreen for the students and staff.
Ticks! They seem to be everywhere this year. Please be sure to check your child, yourself, and pets at least once a day. It’s a healthy habit to perform a tick check when going inside after enjoying the outdoors. If your child has had a tick on them in school that is embedded, I will contact you to make you aware.
Seasonal allergies are affecting many individuals this year. Please be aware that the nursing office does not have orders to be able to administer antihistamines for seasonal allergy symptoms, only for life-threatening allergic emergencies. If you and your child’s medical provider feel that they should take seasonal allergy medication, please administer it at home.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, or concerns.
