Bath Tech

The instructors of Bath Tech would like to recognize the following students for their amazing work in their prospective programs during the first semester of this school year. Congratulations all!

Applied Academics- Taiton is a first year graphic design student who is also enrolled in Voc English 11. He is kind, respectful, and responsible in all situations. He does a fantastic job in class and his literary insight is always valued by his teacher and his peers. Taiton attends Morse High School. - Ms. Clark, Applied Academics

Applied Academics- Nate DeMerchant is a second year student at Bath Tech, enrolled in Voc English 12. Nate’s work ethic has not gone unnoticed, and he has the high grade to prove it! He is focused and attentive in class. He is a very hard worker both in and out of the classroom. Nate attends Morse High School. - Ms. Clark, Applied Academics

Automotive AM - Mr. Read is a tremendous asset to the Automotive Program and a trailblazer example for others to follow. I believe his desire to succeed is clearly demonstrated by his dedication and devotion. It seems as though he has a “whatever it takes, by whatever means necessary” attitude. His discipline is unmatched. He has set the standard high and is well deserving of this recognition. Good work Mr. Read! Brandon attends Morse High School. - Mr. Minott, Automotive

Automotive PM - I am grateful to have Mr. Loupe as a student in this program. He is certainly someone you would want on your team as he is a solid, dependable, hard-working, team player. His attitude is always positive and he continually demonstrates a ready willingness to offer his time and energy to help others in need. Keep up the good work Mr. Loupe. Carpentry AM - Payton is a first-year student in our Carpentry class. He is very respectful to the instructors and his classmates. He achieves way above the classroom standards. Payton completes all of his shop projects and classroom assignments with time to spare. His strong mathematical skills allow him to build with a great amount of confidence. I am looking forward to watching Payton grow as a person as well as a carpentry student. Payton attends Wiscasset Middle High School. - Mr. Bernier, Carpentry

Carpentry PM - Dae deserves this recognition for his everyday approach towards our program these past two years. He always shows respect towards the trade, his classmates and his instructors. His carpentry skills have grown tremendously since he enrolled, and his work effort has been very consistent. Dae has demonstrated that he will be very successful in his chosen path. Cosmetology AM - Abby is an energetic and dependable student. Abby always shows up on time for class and with a positive attitude! She completes her classwork in a timely manner and is always eager to expand her knowledge and experiences within Cosmetology. Abby attends Lincoln Academy. - Ms. Sawyer, Cosmetology

Cosmetology PM - Maddy is always eager to learn new skills and grow her knowledge of cosmetology. She shows up to class prepared and on time, acts with professionalism, grace, and always has a positive attitude! Maddy attends Lincoln Academy. - Ms. Sawyer, Cosmetology

Culinary Arts AM

Ryan is a joy to have in class! He is an energetic member of the team who is always there to help a fellow student. He goes by the name “Big Chefin” in the classroom and he really embodies that persona. Ryan always shows respect for the kitchen, his fellow students, and his instructors. He is consistently a hard worker all while cracking jokes. He is always willing to learn and does it with a smile. Ryan attends Morse High School. - Chef Tamburo

Culinary Arts PM

D’Nisha brightens the class room with her personality! She is always ready for whatever challenges come her way in the kitchen. She is a hard worker in and out of the classroom. She is always encouraging other students and helping them no matter what the task is. Always a ray of sunshine, she will go far with whatever she chooses for her future. Early Childhood AM-

Maryssa has been a leader from the beginning and has shown that she has a real passion for working with young children. Maryssa can be found in the preschool with many children by her side. She is fun and playful with her younger students and always has a huge smile when with them. Maryssa is eager and gets excited about her teaching and how to share the information with the students. She is observant and really has a keen understanding of what young children need. Maryssa hopes to work with young children after high school. Early Childhood PM

Kaitlyn has shown much growth over the past two years. She has really given 100% effort to find her path for her future. She is dependable and enthusiastic about her work with young children. She is always eager to learn and evaluates herself on a regular basis. She has made connections with other teachers and is doing an internship with an art teacher. Kaitlyn is self motivated and is involved in many extra curricular activities. She has done a great job of planning for after high school and was just recently accepted at the University of Maine at Farmington. She will be attending in the fall for early childhood education. Electricity AM

Logan Rice is my choice for the Student of the Semester for my first year students. He has a great attitude and energy. Logan is a positive influence on his peers. He has grown in the program very quickly, and I am proud of his accomplishments. Logan attends Morse High School. - Mr. Hixon, Electricity

Electricity PM

Ben Sawyer is the afternoon Student of the Semester for the electricity program. He is a GREAT Electrician. A leader in the class and on the soccer field. Ben has great knowledge in the electrical field and shows good leadership in the class. With work, school, and extracurricular activities, Ben just keeps going and excelling. He is a rockstar. Ben attends Lincoln Academy. - Mr. Hixon, Electricity

Engineering & Arch. Design: Rylie is an excellent student, who is always ready to learn more and push further as a designer. Outside of school his interest in design extends to 3D print technology and electronics hobbies, and he also is a three season athlete in cross country and track and field. Rylie attends Morse High School. - Ms. Harrison, Engineering

Health Science, CNA

Liberty is an excellent student. She is responsible and involved. She is always present and on time for class and participates constructively in class. She behaves ethically and treats others with respect. She is always willing to help out with any task asked of her. Liberty attends Morse High School. - Mrs. Beauregard, Health Science

Medical Science

Orlane is quiet and shy but participates in class discussions. She arrives at class on time and is ready to begin. She completes all assignments on time and her work is completed with care and accuracy. She uses instructional time to improve learning without distraction. She communicates politely and kindly, actively listens to the ideas of others, and uses appropriate language. Orlane attends Morse High School. - Mrs. Beauregard, Health Science

Welding AM - Colby has been a consistent performer in the welding shop since the beginning of the school year. His attendance and willingness to listen and learn has taken him to the head of his class in a very tight race for this honor. Colby makes very good use of his time and is patient and methodical in his usage of time and resources in the shop. He never gets upset or flustered and keeps on practicing, hour after hour, with the focus of a man many years his senior. Colby attends Lincoln Academy. - Mr. Carter, Welding

Welding PM - I’d love to be able to split this honor between three of my second year students whose performance has been exceptional, but when forced to pick only one, Ashton McLellan edged out his classmates. Rarely does one see the level of focus and discipline that I've seen from these three students, but Ashton has managed to maintain exceptional attendance this semester with only two absences total. He is one of those quiet students who just plain stays busy and in doing so has managed to become the first student in my four years to make real progress towards becoming proficient with pulsed MIG welding; BIW’s core structural process. He is also one of only two students to take on the task of performing the out of position welding on the new athletic field scoreboard support tower, the largest welding project ever completed at Bath Tech. Ashton attends Boothbay Region High School. - Mr. Carter, Welding

Graphic DesignAM - Mae is a first year Graphic Design student from Wiscasset. Mae comes to class with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. She has strong illustration and concept development skills. Mae completes assignments with care and accuracy. When Mae is done with assignments she is looking for the next thing to design, so far it is stickers! Mae has been a strong role model in class for her peers and treats everyone with respect. She has been able to assist with live work projects in the classroom and pays close attention to detail. I look forward to seeing what Mae will do in the next semester! Mae attends Wiscasset Middle High School. - Ms. Brochu, Graphic Design
