HQ Professional Learning Opportunities
Hello from Region 1 AMSTI-UNA
AMSTI-UNA is excited to offer a variety of high-quality professional development opportunities to enhance your STEM instruction and improve student learning. This summer we have sessions available for math, science and digital literacy.
Once you register, you will receive an automated notification that your information processed.
All registrations are pending eligibility and session availability. You will receive a separate email letting you know your attendance has indeed been confirmed.
There is more information specific to content areas located throughout the Smore. Take time to read in its entirety before clicking the registration link below to ensure you schedule the sessions that will best meet your needs.

AMSTI is committed to providing educators and their students with resources, professional learning opportunities, and classroom support aligned with Alabama’s standards. The upcoming Alabama Course of Study: Science adoption may necessitate changes to AMSTI’s K-12 science offerings. Teachers who attend K-12 science content training, including Science Foundational Training (SFT), during Summer 2023 and the 2023-2024 school year may be required to complete additional training to continue receiving materials and equipment support starting Summer 2024.
In addition, teachers who attended 9-12 science content training, including SFT, prior to Summer 2023 may be required to complete additional training to continue receiving ASIM materials and equipment support, starting Summer 2024.

Elementary Computer Science Integration (Grades 2, 3, & 5)
These 1/2 day sessions will include a deep dive into the Alabama Course of Study: Digital Literacy & Computer Science and Engineering and Computer Science Essentials by Engineering is Elementary (EiE). We’ll explore Engineering and Computer Science Essentials and see how science, math, engineering, and computer science practices work together to help learners build problem-solving skills and resilience.

AMSTI Kit Schedule including delivery and return dates, register for Online Science Training,
and visit the AMSTI Teacher Portal.
