Let's set our students up for success by helping them be ACCOUNTABLE this school year. Accountability is taking ownership for your actions and responsibilities. This week we will focus on students arriving on time in the proper uniform each day to show their accountability.

Monday, August 14:

• Noon Dismissal- All Students wear Summer Uniform/ No PE except Pre-K
• No Aftercare

Tuesday, August 15:

• Before School Care Begins
• Full Day Grades 1-8 (7:45 AM-2:50 PM)
• Noon Dismissal for Pre-K and Kinder
• Better Lunch Begins Grades 1-8
• Aftercare begins for Grades 1-8

Wednesday, August 16:

• Full Day Grades K-8
• Noon Dismissal for Pre-K
• Aftercare begins for Kindergarten

Thursday August 17:

• Full Day All Students Pre-K-8

Friday: August 18

• Mass 8A

All students arriving at school before 7:30 AM will attend the Before School Program.

The before-school entrance is located in the 8B classroom, entrance is located to the left of the main gate. See the maps below.

Elementary and Middle school gates open at 7:30 AM. School starts promptly at 7:45 AM.

Students who are tardy after 7:45 AM must enter through the school office.

Parents with students in grades 1-8 may ONLY enter the parking lot off of Campbell and MUST use the car line for the safety of our families.

Pre-K/Kinder gate opens at 7:45 AM.

Parents in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten are permitted to park in the east parking lot and may walk their child to the gate. On the first day of school Pre-K and Kinder parents will be allowed to walk their child to their classroom, however moving forward students will be dropped off at the PK-K gate.

All other parents may not park their cars during morning drop-off. This will help avoid parents congregating in the parking lot.

All parents must park and walk to your student's classroom through the main gate. Teachers will open their doors and release students one at a time. Students will not be dismissed without an approved adult there to pick them up. If you wish to have your child walk home, please fill out the Walking Permission Form below.

Please do not enter the classroom. In the future, if you wish to speak with your child's teacher one-on-one please make an appointment with your child's teacher.

Please remember there are NO pets allowed on campus.

All classes will be released at 12:00 PM on Minimum days and 2:50 PM on regular dismissal days with the exception of Friday, September 8th which is at 11:00AM.

OLLV is blessed to have such an amazing band program led by Mr. Esguerra. No experience necessary. If your child is in grades 3 or above and are interested in signing up for Band for this school year please click the link below.

Students in grades 3-8, we are looking for New Altar Servers for our School Masses.

Before Care will begin on Tuesday, August 15th at 6:30 AM for all grades.

After Care begins:

Grades 1-8 -Tuesday, August 15th

Kindergarten - Wednesday, August 16th

Pre-K- Thursday, August 17th

After Care pick up concludes at 5:30 PM. Please make sure you bring your ID and pin # each and every day at pick up.

It is still hot and school will be starting… so let’s stay HYDRATED!

Please send your child with water everyday! They can fill up at the filling station throughout the day.

The common equation for how much water you need to stay hydrated is to calculate half of your body weight in pounds…Ex: if you weigh 90 lbs… you should drink at LEAST 45 ounces or more of water a day. Drinking that much water may seem like a tough task, but starting first thing in the morning may help. Starting the day with a glass of water can help prevent dehydration rather than having to cure it later in the day…especially since you would have gone roughly 8 hrs without anything to drink (while sleeping). Also because dehydration can cause issues with concentration and fatigue, sipping on some water at the start of the day might help you to beat that morning brain fog. Starting your day with water is also an easy way to start a water drinking routine, establishing a healthy habit. Waking up to water is a fantastic way to get the ball rolling with water consumption. Once that habit is established…studies show it not only becomes second nature, but you may feel strange when you don’t get that glass of water first thing in the morning.

Should you wish to volunteer in your child's classroom or be a chaperone on a field trip please ensure that you have completed fingerprinting, background checks, and the CMG program. You may pick up a volunteer packet in the front office. Please know that this clearance process takes between four and six weeks.
