We wish to inform you about recent legislative developments that necessitate schools to promptly communicate instances of violent offenses or student arrests occurring on our premises. This communication serves to ensure you are informed about potential changes in the frequency of notifications.

The primary objective of this legislation is to foster open and transparent communication within our school community regarding incidents that transpire on school grounds. In line with this aim, we are committed to maintaining a dialogue with you. Should you have any concerns or inquiries pertaining to a notification you receive, we encourage you to reach out to your student's grade level assistant principal.

Mayde Creek High School is happy to offer late bus transportation every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 4:45 for students who are staying for tutorials or detention. The late bus is offered through Katy ISD as an opportunity to provide access for students who stay for tutorials. Due to the funding of this program, ONLY students who are staying for tutorials/detention may ride the late bus. Students must have a pass from a teacher or be brought down with the teacher to the 9th Grade Commons to receive a pass for the late bus.

Join the Class of 2025 at Raising Cane's on November 9th! The advisory class with the most attendees will win a Cane's Classroom Party. Make sure you sign in when you get to Cane's and don't forget your advisory teacher's name!

We had such a wonderful turnout with our football season Mini Martinettes Dance Clinic that we've decided to add another one this semester! It is coming up on Saturday, November 11th from 9-11am. All participants will have the opportunity to perform at our annual Winter Showcase held on Wednesday, November 29th at 6:30pm in the PAC. Completely different venue, so a completely different experience!

If you have or know someone interested in attending this clinic and performing on a stage, we'd love for them to join! I've attached all information needed to sign up. Forms are due on Wednesday, November 1st to be guaranteed a tutu.

Katy ISD is looking for parent volunteers to serve on committees to review and select new instructional materials to be implemented during the 2024-2025 school year. The subject areas and meeting dates are located on the Katy ISD Federal Programs and External Funding website. If you would like to be a part of one of the review committees, complete the interest form here by Friday, November 17, 2023 to be considered for participation on the selection committee. Keep in mind that not all volunteers may be selected to serve on a committee.

9th – 11th Attendance Incentive

Students with 3 or less absences ALL DAY will earn one extra exemption

This does mean that 11th graders could possibly exempt one course both semesters.

12th Attendance Incentive

Students with 3 or less absences will be allowed to exempt with an A, B, or C. This will be on a per period basis.

Legacy Parent Academy sessions aim to inform parents, staff, and community members about relevant topics related to academics and student well-being. Academy sessions are supplemental to campus-based programs and initiatives. Campuses are asked to publicize this information on campus websites and other means of communication. Please note that all sessions are at Legacy Stadium, except for the first session on September 13, which will be held at the Leonard Merrell Center.
