From Principal Sanchez-Hart
Hello Highline Families,
Welcome back from the well-deserved Thanksgiving break! I think we are all feeling a bit tired, but it was good to see our smiling kids!
This week is our "Taste of Highline" community event on Thursday, November 30th from 5:30-7:00 pm! If you've never attended, it's a great time for everyone as we take time to share a meal together and learn about each other. Everyone who signs up brings a dish to share with others! I bring my family's chicken enchiladas. It's a healthier version, but I will not change the sauce. See the flier for more details.
I need a family volunteer who can attend the District Accountability Committee Meeting next week! Please let me know if you are able to attend with me! The CCSD DAC Family and Community Engagement subcommittee will be hosting a meeting with Darcy Hutchins, CDE’s Director of Family, School and Community Partnerships. Dr. Hutchins will be leading a discussion on increasing family engagement in the Cherry Creek School District. The meeting will take place on December 6th at 6:30 pm at Mission Viejo Elementary School (3855 S. Alicia Parkway, Aurora CO 80013).
Please share this RSVP for this special event with parents and community members interested in learning how to engage their school communities, develop school-parent partnerships, and establish School Accountability Committees.
I hope I see you at one of these great upcoming events! Until we next meet, remember to "Share your Story to Power your Potential!"
Sincerely,
Proud Principal Diana Sanchez-Hart
Chopper Toppers from KIND

We have a no-cost dental clinic coming to HLN on December 4-8th for Pre-K, and 1st-4th grade students. Please see the attached fliers for more information, the links to the videos in English and Spanish, as well as visiting the KIND Chopper Topper website.
If you would like your student to participate in the no-cost dental service at school, please sign and return the consent form that will be going home Monday November 27th and return no later than Friday December 1st. We are not able to accept any students without a consent form after this date. Your student can either bring the consent form to their teacher or to the health clinic. For 3rd and 4th grade students they will only be screening students with a signed consent from last year and will not be accepting new 3rd or 4th grade students at this time. If you have questions you are welcome to call me at 720-747-2307 or send me an email mhamman@cherrycreekschools.org.
Thank you so much,
