New Horizons Aotearoa vist WITT
Yesterday we had a visit from New Horizons Aotearoa - a community project working with selected rangatahi from Taranaki schools, to provide nurturing mentorship using tools of praise and encouragement, to build confidence while creating opportunities to learn new skills in a number of industries.
These students were broken into four workshop groups and taken on tours around the trade areas at WITT - Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, getting to see many of our WITT students in action, to give them an opportunity to consider trades as their future career.
Year 4 Rippa
Awesome day had at the Year 4 Rippa Rugby Tournament!
Super Proud of them all, especially how they represent mates IPS with their outstanding REACH in the community.
Massive thank you to Paul Bailey and Wendy & Bas Schoenmaekers. Without your help, this trip wouldn’t have been possible.

Enrolment Zone Meeting this Monday 28 June 5:30pm in our Hall
Kia ora Whanau
The Ministry of Education has identified that Inglewood Primary School is at risk of being overcrowded and has given the school Board notice of this.
After consultation with the Board, we have developed a proposed enrolment scheme for under section 72 of the Education and Training Act 2020.
As part of this process, we are consulting with the school’s community and with people living in the area for which the school is a reasonably convenient school. The enrolment scheme could affect which school a student will be entitled to enrol in.
We will be holding a consultation meeting 5:30pm Monday 28 June at Inglewood Primary School in Te Moa (the hall) to provide further information and gather feedback from parents and the community.
A copy of the proposed scheme can be obtained by email from the Ministry Of Education via darryl.leath@education.govt.nz
Please know that all children who currently attend Inglewood Primary School will not be affected. All children who live in the township of Inglewood and currently may go to other schools, will be able to come to Inglewood Primary if their parents wish them to do so at any given time.
The zone map will be available to view at the meeting and or from Darryl Leath through the email above.
The timeframe is to have the proposed zone in place for the commencement of the 2022 year.
Pre Enrolment List
We are also asking that if you have children who you wish to enrol with us to commence their year 7 or year 8 schooling here at IPS, you also send the details in also as below
This assists us with class placements and future predictions with the Ministry of Education.
All you need to do is phone 7568040 and speak to Debbie or Mia in the school office and ask for your child to be put on the pre-enrolment list. You will be asked for their full name, date of birth, address, email address and a contact phone number. Alternatively you can email the above details to office@inglewood.school.nz
