GISD Summer School
May 29 - June 20
Summer school will be conducted in person utilizing the Edmentum curriculum.
Those students needing to take NM History will be working in Edgenuity.
Requirements/Expectations
Last day of Registration is Tuesday May 27th
Classes begin May 29th 9:00 am and end on June 20th.
Extensions can be granted up through July 13th with Administrative approval and adequate progress (75% of course work).
Students will attend in person to designated high schools.
Student must use their GISD issued Chromebook
Adequate progress will be considered for extenuating circumstances for extensions.
Two sessions will be offered for scheduling convenience- *Students will attend either Monday through Friday - AM or PM sessions.
Morning Session - 9:00 am through 12:00 pm;
Afternoon Session- 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Last day to drop the class is June 14th *refunds will not be issued*
Cost per course $50.00- paid through MySchoolBucks
Lack of activity for two days will result in the student being dropped from their class
Second course will only be loaded for Seniors (Class of 2025 or 2026) in need of graduation requirements. Both courses must be fully paid, and will be loaded concurrently.
Course(s) must be 100% complete, a passing grade of D or better is required to earn credit

Seniors, if you still have not ordered your graduation cap and gown, you must call or go to their office to get it ordered.

Make sure you are checking the correct course you are paying for!
If you do not pay for your exam, it will go on your school debt list and you will not receive your diploma until it is paid off.

The Opportunity Scholarship
You are eligible if you meet the following requirements:
- You are a New Mexico resident.
- You enroll in a New Mexico public college or university.
- You enroll in at least six credit hours but not more than 18 credit hours. Courses must be credit bearing.
- You maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled in a college or university.
