Dear Families,

THANK YOU so much for all of you who have returned the Re-Enrollment forms for next year! We are already planning for next year, so it is helpful for us to know who is planning on returning to our school. (If we have not received your forms, we will be reaching out to you!

If you have not returned them or you did not receive them, please call our office! (651)300-6300.)

If you have any relatives or friends you can refer to our great school, we are doing tours.. new families are already starting to enroll for next year!

We have many fun activities planned for this month (and a couple days off)...the 100th Day of School, Valentine's Day, Vaccine Clinic, Presidents Day, 2-22-22, and a Black History Month Celebration! Get these dates on your calendar!

As we finish up our NWEA Winter Testing, please check out our WEBSITE under the Board TAB and view our World's Best Workforce (WFWF) and Annual Report.

The MN State-wide goals for the WBWF are All Students are ready for school, All Students in Third Grade are Achieving Grade-level Literacy, Our School is Closing the Achievement Gap(s) Between Student Groups, and All Students are Career and College Ready by Graduation.

COVID-19 UPDATES

UPDATES

CDC updated their recommendations for isolation and quarantine when sick or exposed to COVID-19: Quarantine and Isolation. MDH updated If You Are Sick or Test Positive and Close contacts and Quarantine, and we are working to revise other guidance and materials to align with CDC over the coming days.

This updated guidance does apply to K-12 school settings (refer to Overview of COVID-19 Quarantine for K-12 Schools).

PLEASE REMEMBER:

If your child is experiencing any symptoms, please keep them home to monitor and test.

We understand that your student(s) may be vaccinated - but classrooms may transition to distance learning due to number of cases and staffing.

Covid At-Home Test Link

Parents/Guardians should complete the form in link to request a free take-home COVID test to be sent home with their student.

Upcoming Vaccine Clinic: Filled FOR SIGN-UPS

Reminder to parents who have signed up; you will be contacted to schedule appointments for students at a time this week. Those who have signed up - thank you. It is recommended, but not required that a parent or guardian is with the student during the time of the vaccine.

Welcome Ms. Dobbelmann!!

We welcome Amanda Dobbelmann who will be joining the team at NMFA as the new First Grade teacher, starting Monday, January 31, 2022. (Amanda has substituted in the First Grade classroom many times prior to the First Grade quarantine, so the students know her and she is a great fit!) She grew up in the North St. Paul area and still lives close. She has four kids who she has homeschooled before COVID, and has also worked with kids in various education settings including Special Education. Her family loves animals and the outdoors, and have two cats and would like a dog. In Amanda’s spare time she enjoys running, skiing, camping and hiking.

Weekly Announcements

Parents with students in tutoring, please look for upcoming dates of tutoring being cancelled due to school events.
Students in all grades will be finishing up NWEA tests this week. If any students were gone during the time that their class took the test, they can make up the test during this time.
