Wee Wuns Newsletter
NOVEMBER 2023
Director’s Message
We at Wee Wuns are overflowing with thanks and praise for all the wonderful things God has done for us in this season of harvest. The children loved visiting the Pumpkin Patch and their fascination and joy with it never ceases. What an amazing 32nd Annual Fall Festival we had! The Fall Festival is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we could not continue this tradition without the hard work and dedication of our PTO!! We are also thankful to all of you who attended the festival and we appreciate your continued support of Wee Wuns!
We are looking forward to our Thanksgiving Feasts. As we consider the things we are most thankful for, please know that you and your family are a joy and we count each of you as a special blessing.
November is a month of thankfulness; so, we also remember and honor our Veterans, who have graciously served our country. As we approach Veterans Day, thank you to any of our parents who have served and may we all be encouraged to keep our Veterans and any active-duty military personnel in our prayers.
I wish you all a truly blessed and happy Thanksgiving!

This is a great opportunity to share with friends and family... the cards are such great quality and are so useful! For $30 you will receive a box of 30 cards. We have 5 different options available, all shown in the attached flyer. Be on the lookout for the information in your child's folder.

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS
No classes will be held November 20th-24th. Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
HEALTH AWARENESS reminder
A sick child who is unable to participate in school in a meaningful way should be kept home to rest and recover until symptoms resolve. We continue to ask for your cooperation in keeping your child home until he/she is fever free and symptom free from illness, including diarrhea and vomiting for 24 hours. Keeping a sick child home also protects other children and school staff from contracting an illness that can be spread from person to person.

Get With God
In our season of thankfulness, I am reminded of how blessed I am to have been a part of Wee Wuns as a parent and/or teacher for the last 19 years. Sharing the love of the Lord with your children does as much for me as I hope it does for them. Thank you for your support, videos of your children “doing chapel” and singing, and kind words when I see you out in the wild!
This month in chapel we are focusing on being thankful for family and friends and we will start our Christmas Story lessons.
We will learn Bible stories about manna from heaven and talk about being thankful for food, and we will start the Christmas story.
We will sing How Great is Our God, There was a Little Baby, and "J" is for Jesus by LifeWay Worship.
Our memory verse is “Always give thanks to God.” Ephesians 5:20, NIrV
Some things to do at home are:
- Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, thank You for [names of family members]. Help us to love, pray, and care for the family You have given us."
- Put out your Nativity scene and hide Baby Jesus until Christmas morning. You can also put the 3 Wise Men in a spot far away and have your child find them every day or have them move them a little closer every day.
