PTA SANTA SUPPER
PTA Santa Supper will be held from 5-7PM Thursday, December 7th. Even if you have not had a chance to sign up for dinner, please come and check in at the door. Lots of activities, food and fun for all!
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES NEXT WEEK
Colton Elementary School will be holding it's annual Winter Music Program on Thursday, December 14 in the Gym. This is a very well attended event and will start promptly at 8AM, so please allow time for parking.
Teachers will be communicating with families directly regarding any class parties they may be having, so be on the lookout for that information. Please remember, to be able to attend classroom activities or volunteering, you must have been approved through our volunteer clearance procedure. If you have a question on your volunteer-background check status, please call Shannon @ (503)824-3536.
FLASH ALERT
Please remember to subscribe to receive FlashAlert messages from Colton School District in the event of inclement weather or emergency closure.
IMMUNIZATION EXCLUSION DAY
Immunization Exclusion Day is February 21, 2024. All students not in compliance with Oregon's Immunization law will be excluded from school on that day, and can not return until they are in compliance.
If your student is not in compliance, you were given a copy of the Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status form at your conference. Please update, sign, and return it to the office as soon as possible.
Click here for information on Places to Access Vaccines in Clackamas County.
LOST AND FOUND
Please check our Lost and Found before winter break. We have accumulated a lot of coats, sweatshirts and other miscellaneous items. Unclaimed items will be donated to the Colton Clothes Closet at the end of the school year.
New Volunteer Training Requirement
All parents and volunteers, in order for you to work in or around our buildings, you must clear an ODE and CSD background check and complete mandatory training. If you have only completed one of the online training modules, please email hr@colton.k12.or.us to receive the full set. This is a new requirement. If you have any questions, please call the office at (503)824-3536. Thank you for for your support of keeping Colton School District safe!
Friendly Reminder From The Transportation Department
A reminder from the Colton School District Bus Garage:
Fall is here and as the days continue to get shorter and mornings darker, it is helpful for parents to have some type of light with students at their bus stop. Reflective patches on coats help too. This makes it easier for the school bus drivers and other drivers to see them. Let’s be safe and visible this winter.
Thank you, from the Colton School District Transportation staff.

5th Grade Lego Robotics Team
Coach Chase Lockhart and Coach Hailey Miller have been working hard with our 7 dedicated fifth graders each week. They are preparing for a competition on December 10th. At this competition they have to program their robot to successfully complete missions with various Legos on a board. They also have to share with judges how they can use art to share their hobby of reading and learning through books, audiobooks and podcasts.
If you would like your student to participate in a future Colton Elementary Lego Robotics Team next year, please consider being a parent coach. This will be a parent led afterschool activity. It can be for next year's 4th and 5th graders. Thanks to Coach Chase and Coach Hailey, it has been a great addition to our school!
