Questions and answers about meal plans:
- When practices end at 6pm, dinner will not be provided. A 6pm ending time allows for students to make a reasonable dinner time on their own or with their families.
- When practices start at noon (12pm), lunch WILL be provided. Directors (and parents! ;-) want to make sure that students eat before exerting all of that energy!) Lunch will be served starting at 11:15am. Students will be able to enter the school at 11am.
- For days in which lunch is served before practice starts, students not on the meal plan must report at a time that enables them to be ready to start practice at the posted start time...i.e. 12pm on days scheduled for 12-6pm.
Q: Will I be reimbursed for the number of meals that were removed from the summer band meal plan? If so, when?
A: YES! At this time six meals have been removed from the summer band meal plan. However, Mr. Lucita has shared that the five directors have yet to have had the opportunity to meet. So, while he feels quite confident that the schedule will remain as it is right now, we are waiting their final confirmation. We expect to have that confirmed in the next couple of days. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding!

A MESSAGE FROM THE BAND DIRECTOR
Week of July 30
We hope this newsletter finds you all in high spirits as we kick off Week 2 of the 2023 Summer Band Camp. It's been an incredible journey so far, witnessing our students advancing at an impressive rate and embracing the joys of music together.
As we head into this week, we want to remind everyone that we'll be transitioning into longer summer band days. Fear not, for we won't be outdoors all day or marching tirelessly. Instead, we'll be heading outside when temperatures are at their coolest and rehearsing inside during the hottest times, thus ensuring everyone stays comfortable and safe. Besides our musical endeavors, we have exciting social events planned for the students throughout the day, fostering stronger relationships among all campers.
This week brings us a slightly different schedule as our dedicated teachers participate in professional development. Some days might start late, so we kindly ask everyone to pay close attention to the calendar and schedule updates to avoid any confusion.
Mark your calendars for this Saturday, Aug 5, as it's time for our eagerly awaited Jaguar Jamboree - the first public performance of the year! Detailed information, including performance times, the schedule of events, and attire guidelines, will be sent home this week. Stay alert and be ready for an outstanding musical presentation!
We're thrilled to announce that our GroupFund is off to an incredible start! We've already reached the halfway point of our goal. Let's keep up the excitement and drive to not only meet but exceed our target! Sharing the fundraising link through email and social media is the best way to amplify our efforts. So, let's share, share, share!!!
Band Olympics and Spirit Days - Unleash Your Spirit! Let’s prepare for an exhilarating week ahead! It's not just about rehearsals and hard work. This week is dedicated to Band Olympics and Spirit Days. We encourage each and every one of you to participate actively, making this week a super exciting and unforgettable experience for everyone!
We want to wrap up this letter by emphasizing what we already know in our hearts - "it's a great day to be a Jaguar"! With our student’s hard work and your unwavering support, we're creating an environment of camaraderie and excellence that makes us proud to be a part of this organization.
Thank you to everyone for being a crucial part of this musical journey, and let's make Week 2 one for the books!
