STUDENT SECTION
New: Semester 2 Parking Permits
Permits for Q3/Q4 (January 30 - June 7) are available for purchase now on MyPaymentsPlus. They are $120 for the semester.
Permits can be picked up in the EVHS Learning Commons during lunch periods on Thursday and Friday, January 26 and 27.
Parking permits are optional. There is free parking available for students in the lot near our tennis courts, south of EVHS.
New: Interested in Joining Eastview's National Honor Society for 2023-2024?
Current sophomores and current juniors are eligible to complete a Candidate Form. It is strongly encouraged that the eligible candidate have a cumulative 3.8 GPA or higher.
Optional informational meetings will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 7:10 AM OR 2:30 PM in C232. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to attend ONE of the meetings.

Need A Tutor?
Peer tutoring is available on Wednesdays in the Learning Commons after school! Math peer tutors will be available from 2:30-3:30. You can get support for math homework- bring your questions or assignments to work on with a peer tutor and/or small group.

We are excited to be having a fundraising event on January 11, 2023, from 4-9 pm at the Apple Valley Raising Cane’s (7501 150th Street, Apple Valley)!
Make sure to mention the EVHS Boys Basketball fundraiser at the register or put “Fundraiser” in the special request section of your mobile order, and Cane’s will donate 15% of your sale to the EVHS Boys Basketball Team!
Red Cross Blood Drive at Eastview on Friday, January 20
The greater Eastview community of parents, family members, and neighbors are invited to donate blood as part of the NHS-sponsored drive on Friday, January 20 from 7:00AM to 1:00PM in Eastview’s South Gym. Donation registration is completely online @ http://www.redcrossblood.org/give/drive/driveSearch.jsp Type “eastview” (our sponsor code), in the search box and the follow the online prompts. See John Kelly in C232 or email at john.kelly@district196.org with questions. Please keep in mind that there is no school on January 20, 2023. All ages 16+ are welcome to donate.
Need a Previous EVHS Yearbook?
The EVHS Library has an archive of yearbooks which are kept to chronicle our history. In addition, we have also received extra copies over the years that have not been picked up or used for other purposes. It is time to downsize these extra copies. Do you have a grad who didn’t get a yearbook or know a neighbor who would appreciate the memories? You can find a complete list of extra copies available here listed by year. If you would like to request one of these copies, please email evhs.learningcommons@apps.district196.org and we will set the copy aside for you to pick up. Feel free to share the link with anyone who may be interested. All books can be picked up at Eastview High School during school hours.

2023 EVCF Scholarship Application Is Open
EVCF will be awarding over 90 scholarships equaling close to $100,000 to seniors who live in the Eastview attendance area and will be graduating high school in the Spring of 2023.
You will find all the opportunities in the EVCF Scholarship Descriptions (click HERE). We have also included a filterable spreadsheet (click HERE) to help you determine which scholarships for which you are qualified to apply. Please read the directions carefully!

Interested in Architecture, Construction or Engineering?
The ACE Mentor Program of America is a free, award-winning, afterschool program designed to attract district high school students into pursuing careers in the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industries, including skilled trades. The group will meet every other Thursday from 2:45 – 4:45 pm in Room E163 at Apple Valley High School. The next meeting will be December 15th. Please complete this FORM if you would like to join.

Upcoming College Visits
UPCOMING COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY VISITS
Students should stop by the Counseling Office and get a pass to attend the college/university/military Rep Visit prior to the right visit. These university/college or military visits are small group meetings typically lasting 20/30 minutes. These admission reps are often times the same people that review college applications, so it's a great connection for students.

ATHLETICS
Athletics Scoreboard
The Eastview Wrestling team placed 7th in their division at the Bi-State tournament with over 70 teams entered! Ethan Dupont placed 12th, Jack Bauer placed 11th, Alex Baccoli placed 9th, Spencer Lee placed 7th, Nolan Enderlein placed 4th, and Ezra Formaneck earned the 182lb Bi-State Championship! Congratulations Eastview Wrestling!
JV SPORTS
Eastview High School Girls Junior Varsity Basketball beat Centennial 52-41
The JV Girls Basketball team finished 2-0 with a 52-41 victory over Centennial. The team overcame an early 11-2 deficit by sharing the ball and putting up 18 assists. The team is now 9-0 on the season.
Eastview High School Girls Junior Varsity Basketball beat East Ridge 42-37
The JV Girls beat East Ridge in the first game of the Holiday tournament. They overcame cold shooting to come away with the victory.
Eastview High School Girls Junior Varsity Basketball beat Burnsville 72-29
The JV Girls Basketball team won their 7th straight game Tuesday night. The team netted 20 assists and 17 steals on their way to victory.

The Eastview Men’s Volleyball program has started off-season open gyms for guys who are planning on playing next spring, or guys who are thinking about it and want to learn more.
