- Ben Hem's Mission, Vision and Core Values: Last year our School Council refined our Mission and Vision statements to better align with our cover values and the Natick Public Schools Profile of a Graduate. We want to keep these guiding documents relevant and descriptive of what we value as a school community.
Mission:
At Bennett Hemenway, we build positive relationships to learn, to take care of ourselves and others, and our community to make the world a better place.
Vision:
Develop a joy of learning and master foundational academic skills that provide opportunities for learners to follow their interests in the future
- Cherish all children and support their development as caring citizens
Create a welcoming community in order to:
Support and care for all students through an inclusive spirit.
Learn and be curious about others
Seek perspectives that are different from our own
Model and teach healthy relationship-building to support everyone’s social-emotional success
Core Values: How? How must we behave to achieve our vision?
We take care of each other.
We take care of our community
We take care of ourselves.
- PTO Craft Night, November 16: Help decorate the Natick Fire Departments for Thanksgiving Dinner. Join us Thursday, November 16th from 6-7PM in the cafeteria. We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for A Place to Turn that evening.
- KINDNESS WEEK FUN: Each day this week hosted a spirit day and celebrated kindness. Students were kindness detectives and talked about what kindness looks like and sounds like at Ben Hem. We had first graders "chalk the walk" with kindness (only to be washed away with a rain shower. Kindness week is fun and is something that we do every week at Ben Hem.
