The Glidden Elementary Christmas Concert was a heartwarming celebration that brought together the school community in festive spirit. Before the concert, parents were invited to partake in a special holiday lunch with their children, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. The school's cafeteria buzzed with laughter and the delicious aroma of seasonal delights as families shared a meal in anticipation of the upcoming performance. The Glidden Elementary Christmas Concert truly embodied the spirit of the season, fostering connections and spreading warmth among students, parents, and staff alike.

Winter is finally here! Seen in the pictures are 4K students working on creating a penguin habitat and creating a snowman during recess. Our classroom door is decorated with snow people that students completed at home with their families.

Buddy the Kindness Elf
Buddy the Kindness Elf, a heartwarming twist on the beloved Elf on the Shelf, brought joy and compassion into students' lives with a unique mission: spreading acts of kindness. Instead of mischievous antics, Buddy inspired children with daily challenges that encouraged them to make a positive impact on those around them. One memorable challenge involved writing heartfelt letters to the helpful adults at our school, expressing gratitude for their dedication and support. Buddy the Kindness Elf taught the students that a little kindness goes a long way.

5K with Mrs. Hirtreiter
Focusing on building social skills alongside academics in 5K, we've addressed crucial issues such as kind words, appropriate sharing of thoughts, staying in seats, and more. While challenging, it's crucial for students' ongoing success. They're self-correcting and enjoying incentives like Dojo Island!
Exciting news: Small group reading sessions have kicked off, and witnessing students reading to peers is truly remarkable.

Playgroup
The kindergarten after-school students made and trimmed their own Christmas trees.
They painted their trees, threaded tinsel, and added decorative pop poms. They also created a watercolor penguin.

First and Second Grade
The before-school and after-school students have been busy creating pictures for our bulletin board of the changes of seasons. Using a photo they create it in its likeness and have some wonderful drawings. It's also exciting to watch our early risers, as one of our high school students plays basketball with the middle and elementary students.
