World Book Encyclopedia Online is now added to the database resources!

Our partnership with the Indianapolis Public Library helps us to provide valuable resources to our teachers and students. We are excited to share that 8 different World Book Online databases have been made available to us through IndyPL. DCHS students and teachers may access World Book Encyclopedias via the DC Media Center Resource page or through www.ilibrary.org.

Why Use an Encyclopedia?

Some consider encyclopedias to be for younger students but encyclopedias can be very helpful to anyone who is starting a research project - it is a good idea to get some basic information (generate a list of key words!) before diving into some of the more "meaty" online databases.

How?

Thanks to our partnership with the IndyPL our teachers and students have access to some helpful resources. World Book Online may be accessed from the MC resource page, or www.ilibrary.org. For other databases, all that is needed is that "magical" (and free!) library card.

The World Book Encyclopedia Online access link is found on the DCHS Media Center Resources page. World Book Encyclopedia Online is also found at iLibrary.org. When you use the link provided on the DC Media Center page, no login is required when on campus. Off campus, you will need your library card.
