Schools and districts in the metro Atlanta area have the added benefit of multiple world-class cultural institutions to support student educational needs. Expand student and educator experiences this upcoming year with Georgia Aquarium. Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grants are open to Title I schools and select non-profits located in the state of Georgia.
Discover real experiences, hands-on exhibits, and real wonders like nowhere else on Earth. Upcoming Educator Open House: Educator Open House is back! This event allows educators the opportunity to explore the programs Georgia Aquarium’s Education department has to offer. Join us Saturday, August 26 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am to learn about onsite, offsite and virtual programming. Take this opportunity to ask our educators and sales team questions about field trips and programs and how you can give the excitement of Georgia Aquarium to your students.
Please secure your educator ticket as soon as possible. Educators will get free admission but you must register for this event in advance. Any additional guests of the educator will get a discounted ticket. Educators can register here.
School Program Guide
Georgia Aquarium’s school programs provide opportunities for students to discover the aquatic realm in an immersive, standards-based learning environment. Students discover conservation efforts and connect with nature through one of their onsite programs: Education General Admission (self- exploration), Instructor-led programming and Tuesdays in the Field OR bring Georgia Aquarium to your school through in person programs: Outreach at your school or their virtual programs: Field Trips (pre-recorded lessons) or Outreach (instructor led lesson).
Bring Your Class to the Aquarium
Georgia Aquarium’s Education General Admission gives classes the opportunity to explore on their own the many diverse habitats and species. In this self-guided experience, all tickets include Aquarium admission, all available presentations, and all available animal galleries. Presentations are subject to availability and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Presentation times are subject to change without notice.
Please Note: Grants are available! Georgia Aquarium offers a Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grant to Title I schools and select non-profit organizations operating in the State of Georgia. This grant provides free admission when visiting with a field trip, ensuring that diverse audiences, regardless of economic status, have an opportunity to experience the wonders of the Aquarium.

Bring the Aquarium to Your Classroom
No time to plan a field trip? Don’t worry, the Aquarium will bring the experience to you! With Georgia Aquarium’s Education Outreach Programs, your school can be a part of the valuable learning experiences that the Aquarium has to offer – without leaving the classroom.
Our educators focus on subjects such as technology and STEAM through a variety of engaging activities, such as arts and crafts and live animal experiences. We connect your students with the world’s oceans using two different types of experiences to choose from:
- Classroom Outreach
- Live Virtual Outreach
All of the programs are aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence and are structured for the appropriate grade level of your students.
Virtual Education
Georgia Aquarium is excited to offer educators a chance to explore the Aquarium from inside their own classroom or virtually at home. Come dive in with your students for an educational and fun virtual experience!

Can’t get enough? Add an astonishing walk-through of the Aquarium's animal galleries to your Virtual Field Trip or Virtual Outreach program. There are several animal gallery options to choose from! Choose one or choose several! A perfect supplement to your Virtual Field Trip or Virtual Outreach program!
Check out the live webcams throughout the Aquarium. Take a moment to sit back and relax while you live stream the animals of Georgia Aquarium. Get a glimpse into a day in the life of the incredible animals as they swim, feed, play, and go about their day.
