Back to School Events
We are just one week away from students returning to classrooms and we can't wait! Teachers are busy preparing and our support staff is getting the building ready for when students arrive. Please see below for two important events for Back to School.
- BACK TO SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE: Tuesday, August 15th from1:00-3:00
- Come with your child to this event to find their classroom and meet their teacher. Please watch your email for information from your child's teacher, so you can come prepared with any questions.
- RED CARPET WELCOME: Thursday, August 17th from 8:30-8:55
- We are SO excited to have students back in school, we are rolling out the red carpet for the first day! We are asking all students to come to the north side of the school to be welcomed and enter the school in style. Bountiful City Mayor Kendalyn Harris is going to be present to help us welcome students. There will also be a photo booth where parents can take pictures of their Superstar Students before they walk down the red carpet and enter the school. Students will go straight to their class after their walk of fame. Teachers will be inside the school, prepared to greet their students in their classroom. We will have expert guides available to help students who might be nervous about finding the right classroom once they enter the school.
- There are not kindergarten classes on this day, but parents of kindergartners are invited to bring their child to take pictures and walk the carpet for fun.
Background Checks
All volunteers need a background check through the district. If you have already had one and volunteered in the past year, you will not need to get another one. For more information, click on the image.
Schedule Appointments Early
Appointments for background checks fill up quickly throughout the year. Plan ahead and get your background check completed now so you are ready for any fieldtrips or other events that you would like to help with during the school day. Click on the above image to schedule your appointment.
