Abernethy will release students at 12:00pm Friday, January 12th, 2024

Out of precaution, PPS has announced a 3 hour early release for tomorrow, Friday, January 12th, 2024. The release time for each school is dependent on the school's normal dismissal time. Our dismissal is at 3:00pm, so our release time for tomorrow is at 12:00pm. If you have students in other PPS schools, please check on their early dismissal times as it may be different than ours. There will also not be any after school activities or enrichment classes, nor will there be Art 4 Life.
Our schedule will remain the same for the morning tomorrow with the first bell ringing at 8:37 and school starting at 8:45. The only exception will be our lunch schedule. In order to allow lunch for all students and be ready for dismissal at 12:00, we will be following a different lunch schedule. Below are the times for tomorrow's lunches.
10:50 - 11:15 - K-1 - Lunch - All K-1 students will pick up their school lunch in the cafeteria and then eat in their classrooms.
11:00 - 11:25 - 2-3 - Lunch in the cafeteria
11:30 - 11:55 - 4-5 Lunch in the cafeteria
I am hoping that this is all out of precaution and that the weather holds off until what is predicted to come in later tomorrow night. Please call the school if anything changes for you throughout the morning tomorrow as well as if there is anyone new to pick up your student, or if they are going home with someone else.
